Top 10 Best Online Booking Software for Moving Companies in 2026

A customer who finds three movers online wants to pick a date, sign and pay without waiting on a callback. We read the vendor documentation for 13 moving and field service platforms in October 2026, checked what each one lets a customer do alone, and ranked the 10 that fit best.

By Mike Vidan, Co-Founder of QuoteIQ · Updated October 2026

Quick Answer

The best online booking software for moving companies in 2026 is QuoteIQ. On the Elite and Max plans, a customer can build a quote on your website, accept it, and pick a time from your live availability, with no phone call. Published plans start at $29.99 a month, and every plan has a 14-day trial. MoveitPro has the most moving-specific booking flow (video survey, AI cubic-foot and weight pricing, dates tied to dispatch), and Elromco books from a quote link with the signature and deposit in one step. Housecall Pro and Jobber offer solid general booking forms. SmartMoving and Supermove are deeper moving CRMs where staff, not the customer, book the job.

How We Picked the Top 10

We’re QuoteIQ. We made this list. We also picked our own platform as #1, and here’s exactly why. QuoteIQ is a field service platform built for 50+ trades, not a moving-only system. It lands first on one question: which tool lets a customer go from “how much?” to a confirmed time without a phone call, at a price you can read before you talk to anyone. Five criteria drove every ranking:

  1. Customer self-booking depth. Can the customer choose a date without a staff member in the middle, and does the date come from real availability?
  2. Deposit and signature at booking. Does the flow end in a signed estimate or order and a payment, or only a reserved slot?
  3. Moving-job fit. Inventory, weight or cubic-foot pricing, hourly crew and truck pricing, surveys, and bills of lading.
  4. Pricing transparency. Published prices scored higher than “book a demo.”
  5. Evidence quality. Vendor documentation first, then dated reviews on Capterra, G2 and Trustpilot, with older reviews flagged as older.

We read each vendor’s own feature pages, help-center articles and pricing pages on October 11, 2026, then checked review sites for complaints. We did not run hands-on tests of all ten platforms, so every capability below is what the vendor documents, and we say so when pages conflict. Where MoveitPro or Elromco go deeper than QuoteIQ on moving-specific pricing, the entries say that plainly.

“The contractor who sends an estimate first anchors the customer’s comparison.”

— Justin Rogers, Co-Founder of QuoteIQ

Three of the 13 platforms on our starting list did not make the ranked ten, and the “Left Off” section near the end explains why.

What Online Booking Means for a Moving Company

For a haircut or a diagnostic visit, online booking means picking a slot. A move is different. The price depends on the inventory, the distance, the stairs and the truck, and the customer is often comparing three or four estimates before committing. So when a vendor says “online booking,” it can mean three different things, and the difference decides which software fits.

Self-booking from a quote or a form

The customer describes the move, sees a price, picks a date and pays or signs without a staff member. In this list that is MoveitPro, Elromco and QuoteIQ.

A generic booking widget

The customer picks a service and a time slot from your calendar. Housecall Pro, Jobber, Workiz and Zoho Bookings work this way. It suits surveys, small jobs and hourly crews, but the price comes from a service menu rather than an inventory, a weight or a cubic-foot rate.

Staff-booked, customer-confirmed

A rep builds the estimate, and the customer signs and pays the deposit in a portal. The booking itself is a click by staff. SmartMoving, Chariot and Supermove are built this way, and for larger sales teams it is often the right design.

Why the order of steps matters

Federal guidance explains why. The FMCSA booklet that interstate movers must hand customers says a mover’s verbal quote is not an official estimate because it is not in writing, and that an estimate is dated and signed by both sides (FMCSA, Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move). The FTC tells shoppers to get written estimates and not to hire anyone who demands a big deposit before the move (FTC consumer alert). A booking flow that ends in a signed written estimate and a modest, clearly stated deposit protects both sides better than one that only holds a calendar slot.

QuoteIQ — Best Overall Online Booking Software for Movers

Plans from $29.99/mo · Booking on Elite ($299.99/mo) and Max ($699.99/mo) · 14-day trial on every plan

QuoteIQ is our product, so weigh this entry with that in mind. It earns the top spot on one test: a customer who finds you at 9 p.m. can price the job, accept it and choose a time without waiting for a callback, and you can read the price of every plan before you talk to anyone.

On Elite and Max, InstaQuote puts a branded quote form on your website or behind a link you share. The customer picks services and options and sees a price calculated on the server, so nobody can edit the number in a browser. ZIP-based upcharges, travel fees, discount codes and a deposit line are all configurable, and a customer who quits halfway still becomes a contact. A satellite map-measure step lets customers outline an area and attach the screenshot to the estimate. After the customer accepts the estimate, InstaSchedule shows your real availability and the customer books a time that lands on your QuoteIQ calendar. Slots you already hold or have pending are blocked, and you choose which employees are offered and during which booking hours.

Around the booking sits the rest of a small mover’s day. The Client Portal (Pro and up) shows customers their estimates, appointments and invoices and lets them request service or pay an invoice. An “InstaQuote Created” automation can text your office, email the customer and assign a task the moment someone quotes themselves. The Virtual Call Team answers calls through IQ Credits on every plan, which covers the customer who phones instead of using the form. Card payments start at 2.59% + 30¢ and ACH at 1%.

Best for: Small and mid-size moving companies, from one user to 20, that want customers to quote and book on their own at published prices.

What matters for booking a move

Pros

  • A customer can quote, accept and book without a phone call on Elite and Max
  • Every plan’s price is public, with a 14-day trial on all of them
  • Server-side pricing and slot blocking prevent edited prices and double bookings
  • Mobile app rated 4.7 across 4,103+ App Store and Google Play reviews

Cons

  • Customer self-scheduling with InstaSchedule starts on Elite ($299.99/mo)
  • A general field service tool: weight, cubic-foot and binding or non-binding estimate rules are not documented, so test your price menu in the 14-day trial. MoveitPro and Elromco are the moving-pricing benchmark
  • Availability is set per employee and booking hours, so test how it handles a crew-and-truck pairing
  • No video survey or digital bill of lading is documented
  • Google Reserve’s plan requirement is not stated on its feature page, so confirm it before you rely on it

“Customers call multiple contractors for the same job. They’re not waiting for you specifically.”

— Mike Vidan, Co-Founder of QuoteIQ

Verdict: A solo mover starts on Essentials ($29.99/mo) for estimates and scheduling. A crew of three to ten that wants customers booking alone lands on Elite ($299.99/mo, 10 users), and a company of up to 20 on Max ($699.99/mo, 20 users). Pages describe the plan placement of some portal and booking pieces differently, so confirm it in the trial by running a studio, a three-bedroom and a long-distance quote through the form.

2

MoveitPro — Most Moving-Specific Booking Flow

Pricing by demo · Crew app seats $20/user/mo

MoveitPro is the closest thing in this list to a booking flow designed for movers. Its Online Move Booking page describes one snippet you embed on your own site, mobile-first and branded to you. The customer enters addresses, a move-date window, home size and contact details, then records a video walkthrough of the home inside the form, with no app to install.

From that video the software builds an item list with cubic feet and weight and shows a price. You choose whether the customer sees a range or a locked exact price. The customer then picks a date from your live dispatch calendar and crew capacity, with branch rules and blackout dates applied, and a card is captured at booking. You decide whether that is a deposit or a card on file. The customer signs your terms, gets an instant confirmation email, and a job appears in dispatch with the inventory, video, price and payment method attached.

What the page does not describe is a customer portal login, a separate accept-quote step or rescheduling after booking. A portal appears in a May 2019 blog post but not on current feature pages, so we treat it as unverified for 2026.

We ranked it second because of the evidence gap, not the flow itself. Pricing is demo-led, and public reviews are thin and dated. Capterra shows 4.4 out of 5 from 97 reviews, the newest from September 9, 2024, with complaints about complexity, a failed trial cancellation and older contract and billing issues. G2 shows 2.9 from five reviews. We could not tell whether the older complaints apply to the current MoveitPro+ platform.

Best for: Local and long-distance movers who want customers to survey, price, schedule and pay on their own site.

Booking features

Pros

  • The one flow here that surveys, prices, schedules and takes a card in a single customer session
  • The job lands in dispatch with inventory, video and price attached
  • You choose between a price range and a locked price
  • Offline-capable crew app

Cons

  • Pricing is demo-led, and third-party figures conflict, so we do not repeat them
  • No customer portal login, accept-quote step or rescheduling is documented
  • The newest Capterra review is from September 2024, and G2 has only five reviews
  • Reviewers have called it complicated

Verdict: If moving-specific pricing is the heart of your booking flow, put MoveitPro on the demo list next to QuoteIQ. Ask for the price in writing, how reschedules work after booking, and whether the current platform fixed the older billing complaints.

3

Elromco — Best for Booking From a Quote Link

Professional $289/mo · Enterprise $399/mo · month-to-month

Elromco sells MoveBoard, and its booking flow starts after the quote. You mark a quote “Can Book Online” and send the link. The customer opens a Book Your Move page in their portal, e-signs the Order for Service and pays the deposit, with any card fee shown. Signature and payment succeed together and the order becomes Booked. If the card is declined, nothing books. That all-or-nothing rule is what you want when a deposit is part of the contract.

For instant prices, embeddable quote forms (short, long, single-page and pop-up) show a price from your office calculator. Each submission becomes a new order, and the customer gets a portal link to book with a deposit. The pricing engine covers local, long-distance and storage moves. In the portal, customers can edit the quote, build an inventory with photos, message the office and track job status. The AI Receptionist offers two open arrival windows and texts a booking link, but it holds no slots, so your office keeps control of the schedule.

Pricing is published. Professional is $289 a month with three office users, unlimited crew and 500 texts, and Enterprise is $399 a month with unlimited office users, multi-branch support and 1,000 texts. There is no contract and no setup fee, and onboarding and data migration are free. A website is $99 a month and an extra branch is $99 a month. Payments run through your own Authorize.net account.

There is no free trial, only a 30-day refund guarantee, and no embeddable booking widget is documented because booking happens through the portal link. Capterra shows 4.7 from 22 reviews, but almost all date from 2016 to 2020, so treat them as dated. We found no current-year complaints.

Best for: Local and long-distance movers who prefer to quote first and let the customer book from the quote.

Booking features

Pros

  • Published prices, no contract and no setup fee
  • Signature and deposit cannot succeed separately
  • Free onboarding and migration
  • Pricing logic built for local, long-distance and storage jobs

Cons

  • No embeddable booking widget is documented, because booking is by portal link
  • No free trial, only a 30-day refund guarantee
  • Payments are tied to your own Authorize.net account
  • No native crew app or video survey is documented

Verdict: Elromco is the cleanest answer to “how do I get a signature and a deposit in one step.” It ranks below MoveitPro because the date step is not described in the pages we read, and below QuoteIQ because it has no free trial and no plan under $289 a month.

4

Housecall Pro — Solid General Booking Form

Basic $59–$79/mo (1 user) · Essentials $149–$189/mo (5 users) · MAX $299–$329/mo (8 users) · 14-day trial

Housecall Pro is a home services platform with no moving features in its documentation, but its online booking is easy to set up and well documented. You embed the booking form on your website, share the link or take bookings through Reserve with Google. It shows open slots based on your team schedule, service area and job duration, in 30-minute steps, and a booked employee disappears from availability. Bookings confirm instantly, or you can switch to manual mode, which creates an unscheduled job or estimate for you to place. If no slot fits, the customer can send a request that becomes a lead.

Deposits are documented: the customer can pay in full or put down a fixed-dollar or percentage deposit at booking, though we did not find which plan unlocks it. The customer portal is described inconsistently. The marketing page says customers can schedule, reschedule and cancel, while the help center routes changes through a Send a Message button and the booking FAQ says customers cannot cancel an online booking themselves. Treat portal rescheduling as something to test.

Moving is absent from Housecall Pro’s industry list, and its junk-removal page says nothing about volume pricing or inventory. That makes it a fit for surveys, packing-only jobs and small hourly crews more than whole-home moves. Extra MAX users cost $35 a month, and card processing starts at 2.59%. Online booking is listed from the Basic plan, which is a lower starting price for booking than QuoteIQ’s Elite plan.

Capterra shows 4.7 out of 5 from 2,749 reviews, with bugs the most common negative tag, invoicing called limited, and costs that jump past five users. Trustpilot shows 2.9 from 690 reviews that cite hard-to-reach support, high processing fees and updates that break workflows.

Best for: Small crews, packing-only and labor-only outfits that want a simple booking form with deposit options.

Booking features

Pros

  • Online booking is listed from the entry plan
  • Deposit options at booking
  • Published prices and a 14-day trial
  • A lead fallback when no slot fits

Cons

  • No moving features are documented (inventory, weight or cubic-foot pricing, bills of lading)
  • Portal rescheduling documentation conflicts
  • Bugs and support are the main review complaints
  • Costs rise quickly past five users

Verdict: A sound booking form for small, hour-based crews. If your quotes depend on inventory or weight, you will price elsewhere and use this for scheduling only.

Jobber — Clean Booking for Small Crews

Core $29–$49/mo · Connect $99–$139/mo · Grow $149–$199/mo (1 user each) · Plus from $399/mo · 14-day trial

Jobber’s Online Booking lets a customer choose a bookable service and then an open slot. Bookings fit around existing appointments and can be limited by service area and drive time, and the customer gets an email confirmation. Each form is either job booking, which schedules as soon as the customer submits, or assessment booking, which can be instant or held as a request until you approve it. The assessment option is the one a mover would use for an in-home survey.

Availability comes from each team member’s booking settings, with earliest-availability, interval and buffer controls. One detail matters for crews: calendar events do not block slots, only time-off tasks do, and team members are assigned randomly. You can offer up to 100 services, from 15 minutes to 12 hours each. We found no deposit at booking. The only payment option saves a card, needs Jobber Payments and is unavailable on embedded forms. Client Hub lets clients approve quotes, pay invoices and quote deposits and see appointments, but we found no self-scheduling there.

Moving is not among Jobber’s 45 listed industries, and reviewers on Capterra call advanced estimating and multi-line quote formatting limited, which matters when a move quote has many line items. Capterra shows 4.6 out of 5 from 1,487 reviews, citing glitches, basic reporting and rising costs. Each plan has three price levels: month-to-month, a one-year commitment billed monthly, and annual prepaid. Extra users cost $29 a month, and the trial is 14 days with Grow access. The pricing page lists online booking on Core, but a help article says only “select plans,” so confirm it before you buy.

Best for: Small teams that want a clean survey or small-job booking form and keep their quotes simple.

Booking features

Pros

  • Assessment booking fits an in-home survey
  • Service-area and drive-time limits
  • Published prices and a 14-day trial with Grow access
  • Well rated overall, 4.6 on Capterra

Cons

  • No deposit at booking is documented
  • Calendar events do not block slots, and team assignment is random
  • Moving is not a listed industry, and advanced estimating is called limited
  • Plan placement of online booking is described two ways

Verdict: Good for booking surveys and small jobs, thin for pricing a whole-home move. Choose it if your quotes are simple and your team is small.

6

Workiz — Approve Before Anything Books

Quote-only pricing (Standard, Pro, Ultimate) · 7-day trial

Workiz puts a booking widget or link on your website, social profiles, email or SMS, or in Reserve with Google. The customer picks a service and a slot, and the calendar syncs with the dispatch board to prevent double bookings. The owner chooses between approval, where requests land in the Message Center first, and auto-created jobs or leads. Availability options include business hours, technician schedules, per-slot caps, double booking and lead time.

Deposits are available as full payment or a partial deposit at booking and require Workiz Pay, and the payment shows up in Workiz only after the request is approved and converted to a job. That approve-first design suits a mover who wants to review each request before taking money. The client portal is listed on all plans, but we found no customer self-scheduling inside it. Pages disagree on plan placement: the pricing page lists online booking in Standard, Pro and Ultimate, while the help center tells you to activate an online booking add-on from the Marketplace, and we found no add-on price.

Workiz has an official Moving and Storage Software page covering scheduling and dispatch, crew routing, Good/Better/Best estimates and payments from the field. It does not mention online booking, weight or cubic-foot pricing, binding versus non-binding estimates or valuation coverage. No prices are published, annual billing saves “$400+,” and the trial is seven days. Capterra shows 4.4 out of 5 from 218 reviews, with complaints about fees, slow support, QuickBooks sync and a 12-month contract that is hard to exit.

Best for: Teams that want to review each booking request and already run field service work.

Booking features

Pros

  • You can vet each request before it books
  • The calendar syncs with the dispatch board to prevent double bookings
  • Deposit options at booking
  • An official page for moving and storage

Cons

  • No published prices, so budget needs a quote
  • Plan placement of online booking is described two ways
  • Booking payments show up only after approval
  • Reviewers describe a 12-month contract that is hard to exit

Verdict: A fit if you want to vet every booking request. Get the price and the contract term in writing before you start the seven-day trial.

7

Zoho Bookings — Generic Scheduler With a Free Plan

Free (1 user) · Basic and Premium $6–$12 per user/mo · 15-day trial

Zoho Bookings is not moving software, but Zoho publishes two pages that pitch it to movers. Customers pick a service, a date and a time and can book and pay on your site. Each move type, such as a home move, packing, an office move or storage, is set up as its own appointment type, and trucks and equipment can be added as resources, though we did not find the add-on price. Customers can book as guests or sign in to a portal to view, reschedule or cancel.

Staff have working hours and sync with Google, Outlook or Zoho calendars, and groups of staff can be booked together under a daily cap, for example two crews meaning two moves a day. Payments run through Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.Net and others, and a deposit or full payment is set per event type. Zoho’s help article says that needs the Premium plan. The moving pages do not mention estimates, on-site surveys, inventory capture or pricing by volume or distance, so each service has a fixed price.

Pricing is published: a forever-free plan for one user, Basic and Premium plans priced per user, and a custom Flex plan. The page shows $6 and $9 headlines with $8 and $12 in the description text, plus a monthly or yearly toggle with no explicit label, so we say $6 to $12 per user a month depending on tier and billing period. The trial is 15 days. G2 shows 4.1 out of 5 from 54 reviews and Capterra 4.4 from 47. Complaints include payment failures that close the appointment window with no built-in refund process (June 2026), sync drops, and a double booking that took three days to fix (June 2025).

Best for: Solo movers and small crews that only need a scheduler for surveys, labor-only jobs and fixed-price services.

Booking features

Pros

  • A free plan for one user and a 15-day trial
  • Guest booking plus a portal for rescheduling
  • A separate appointment type for each kind of move
  • Published, low per-user pricing

Cons

  • No estimates, surveys, inventory or volume pricing, so every service has a fixed price
  • Deposits need the Premium plan
  • Trucks as resources are an add-on with no price found
  • Reviewers report sync drops and a payment-failure edge case

Verdict: A cheap way to let customers book surveys, packing days and labor-only jobs. It is a scheduler, not a moving system, so pair it with whatever produces your written estimate.

8

SmartMoving — Deep Moving CRM, Booked by Staff

Pricing by demo · 12, 24 or 36-month terms

SmartMoving is a full moving CRM, and its customer-facing tools are strong even though a fully self-service booking flow is not documented. Customers pay deposits, fill out inventory and sign estimates on their phones in a mobile-friendly portal. A staff member turns on customer deposits in Settings, and the customer pays by card in the portal while the card is saved on file. Help articles describe staff clicking “Book” on an estimate rather than the customer.

The embeddable iFrame quote form is documented as lead capture with no instant price or booking, in an article dated September 2020. We found no public online booking or AI booking on its feature pages. What it does well is the work around the booking: a rules-based pricing engine, LiveSwitch remote surveys, a dispatch calendar with Google Calendar sync, a Crew App with digital bills of lading and e-signatures, and lead-provider connections.

Pricing is not published. The pricing page describes Smart Growth with three office users and three Crew App licenses, and Smart Pro with ten office users and 50 licenses, on 12, 24 or 36-month terms paid monthly, quarterly, annually or upfront. Onboarding is included and typically takes about three weeks. Capterra shows 4.9 out of 5 from 143 reviews. The critical ones are specific: a merchant provider you cannot choose and higher rates than alternatives (December 2024), “incredibly expensive” (September 2024), phone support that is hard to reach (March 2025) and move setup forms that fail to send (December 2024). Card processing is set up through Remedy Payments, which fits the merchant-choice complaint.

Best for: Moving companies with a sales team that books every job and wants customers to sign and pay a deposit in a portal.

Booking-related features

Pros

  • The strongest portal deposit and inventory tools in the staff-booked group
  • Remote survey and pricing engine for sales teams
  • Onboarding included
  • 4.9 on Capterra from 143 reviews

Cons

  • A customer-initiated booking flow is not documented
  • Pricing is demo-led, with 12 to 36 month terms
  • Reviewers cite cost, fixed merchant rates and hard-to-reach phone support
  • The iFrame quote form documentation dates from 2020

Verdict: Pick it if your reps sell every move and you want the best portal around the sale. Ask what you pay for card processing and whether you can leave a 36-month term.

9

Chariot — AI-Assisted Intake, Booked by Staff

From $254/mo · billed quarterly or annually

Chariot starts at $254 a month for the smallest companies, with one price scaled to company size and unlimited office and crew users and unlimited two-way texting included. Billing is quarterly or annual only, and annual is paid upfront. The final quote needs a demo.

Customers meet Chariot in three places. A web lead form embeds on your site and saves the lead as soon as basic details are entered, then lets the customer add inventory. Staff email or text a mobile-friendly estimate, and the customer can pay a deposit on a white-labeled page inside the signing flow. An AI voice assistant answers calls and creates leads. The vendor does not say the assistant books moves, schedules surveys or takes deposits, and we found no customer portal or customer-facing scheduling, so booking is staff-side.

Behind that, Chariot has staff-side inventory with automatic weight and volume estimates, automations that can request photo or video inventories, a job schedule with capacity tracking and Google Calendar sync, a digital bill of lading with QuickBooks sync, and an open API for lead sources such as Angi and Move.com. Capterra shows 5.0 out of 5 from 64 reviews, none rated three stars or lower. Still, September 2026 reviews dislike the in-app subscriptions and mention cost and glitches such as addresses not populating, and a June 2026 review could not split trucks in tracks. Admins also called the mobile experience harder in April and May 2025.

Best for: Small movers that want AI-assisted intake and unlimited users, with staff handling the booking.

Booking-related features

Pros

  • A published starting price, with unlimited users
  • Leads are saved before the customer finishes the form
  • Deposit built into the signing flow
  • Very high Capterra score (5.0 from 64 reviews)

Cons

  • Booking is staff-side, and no customer portal was found
  • Quarterly or annual billing only, with annual paid upfront
  • Recent reviews mention in-app subscriptions, glitches and track splitting
  • The final quote needs a demo

Verdict: A reasonable fit for a small mover that wants unlimited users and AI-assisted intake and is happy for staff to do the booking. It is not a customer self-booking tool today.

10

Supermove — Estimator-Led Platform for Larger Movers

Contact-led pricing · Essentials, Pro and Storage plans

Supermove is built around the estimator and the office, and its booking is internal or AI-assisted. Its AI Voice Agents answer calls, qualify leads and schedule a virtual or in-person survey, locking in the appointment. That books surveys and estimates, not confirmed moves. The sales page says customers approve digital estimates with one click and complete virtual surveys, but a customer portal, a deposit step and a website booking widget are not described.

The estimator app covers in-person or virtual surveys, inventory, valuation and customer e-signature, with deposits not mentioned. The office app has calendar views and long-distance dispatch, and the crew app has a digital bill of lading, timesheets and GPS. There is a Stripe integration and QuickBooks Online sync, and it runs in a browser, with Android tablets recommended.

Pricing is contact-led: Essentials, Pro (which adds implementation support and a customer success manager) and Storage for five to ten trucks, with unlimited office users and a monthly license typically charged quarterly or annually. We did not find implementation fees or contract terms. Capterra shows 4.6 out of 5 from 18 reviews, several from 2022, with complaints about setup taking several months (May 2022), support callbacks taking hours (January 2024) and estimates that cannot be exported as PDF (October 2023). G2 shows 4.8 from five reviews with no cons listed.

Best for: Larger movers with dedicated estimators and long-distance or storage work.

Booking-related features

Pros

  • Strong estimating and valuation tools
  • Unlimited office users
  • AI agents book survey appointments
  • A Storage plan for storage-heavy movers

Cons

  • No customer portal or website booking widget was found
  • Contact-led pricing with no published implementation fee
  • Several Capterra reviews are from 2022
  • Deposits at estimate approval are not documented

Verdict: Best for a larger mover whose estimators drive the sale and who wants AI to fill the survey calendar. Customers do not book the move themselves.

Left Off the Ranked List, and Why

Three moving platforms were on our starting list of 13 and did not make the ten. Here is the evidence behind each cut, so you can disagree with us.

Movegistics

Movegistics’ FAQ lists Online Booking and a Self-Service Customer Portal as items its developers are “currently working on,” “set to be released in 2025.” The page was last modified on July 28, 2026, and we found no evidence that either shipped. What is documented is staff-sent mobile estimates with built-in deposits, an AI Virtual Survey sent by text link and a customer inventory portal. Pricing is demo-led.

MovingCRM

MovingCRM documents a branded portal where customers sign the contract, pay a deposit and confirm move details after staff build the quote, plus an AI assistant that follows up on open quotes. It does not describe a public booking form, and it publishes no prices. Its evidence base is one vendor page and two five-star reviews from 2023 on Software Advice, which made it our closest call for the tenth spot.

Granot

Granot publishes $325 (Standard) and $495 (Enterprise) a month. Its homepage names a tool called uBook that lets consumers book moves, including outside business hours, but that single line is the only official documentation we found. Third-party sites mention a self-booking add-on and a self-service portal that granot.com does not confirm, and G2 shows four reviews, the latest from April 2022.

The Moving Industry by the Numbers (2021 to 2026)

~13%of Americans reported moving in the previous year in 2021, down from about 14% in 2019 (Census Bureau)
6.9MU.S. jobs for hand laborers and material movers in 2025, a broad category (BLS)
4%projected growth for those jobs from 2025 to 2035, about 288,900 new jobs (BLS)
$38,220median annual pay for those jobs, May 2025 (BLS)
9 monthsto file a written loss or damage claim after an interstate delivery (FMCSA)

The BLS category is broad and includes far more than moving crews, so read it as a labor-market signal, not a count of movers. The Census comparison is from 2021.

Which Moving Booking Software Should You Pick? 7 Situations, 7 Picks

If you are a solo mover with one truck

Start with QuoteIQ Essentials at $29.99 a month for estimates and scheduling, and move up to Elite when you want customers booking on their own. If you only need customers to book surveys or labor-only jobs, Zoho Bookings’ free plan covers one user.

If you have two or three employees

QuoteIQ Beginner ($99.99 a month, 2 users) or Pro ($199.99, 4 users, with the Client Portal) fits. Housecall Pro Basic ($59 to $79 a month for one user) or Essentials ($149 to $189 for five) is the lower-priced booking-form alternative if your jobs are hour-based.

If you have five to ten employees and want customers booking alone

QuoteIQ Elite at $299.99 a month (10 users) unlocks InstaQuote and InstaSchedule. Elromco Professional at $289 a month (three office users, unlimited crew) is the alternative if you would rather quote first and send a booking link.

If you have 10 to 20 employees or more than one branch

Elromco Enterprise ($399 a month, unlimited office users, multi-branch), QuoteIQ Max ($699.99 a month, 20 users) and MoveitPro (demo-led) are the three to compare.

If you have 20 or more employees and a sales team

SmartMoving and Supermove are built for reps who book every move. Chariot, from $254 a month with unlimited users, is the lower-cost staff-booked option.

If you do long-distance or storage-heavy work

Supermove’s Storage plan covers five to ten trucks, and Elromco’s pricing engine handles local, long-distance and storage moves. Ask any vendor how it prices by weight or distance before you rely on a booking form.

If you are tech-resistant and want minimal training

Pick the narrowest tool and test three real moves in the trial: a studio, a three-bedroom and a long-distance quote. QuoteIQ, Housecall Pro and Jobber offer 14-day trials, Zoho Bookings 15 days and Workiz seven. Elromco has no trial but a 30-day refund guarantee.

How We Picked the Top 10 (Methodology Detail)

  1. Built a starting list of 13 platforms. We listed eight tools made for movers (MoveitPro, Elromco, SmartMoving, Chariot, Supermove, Movegistics, MovingCRM and Granot) and five general scheduling or field service tools (QuoteIQ, Housecall Pro, Jobber, Workiz and Zoho Bookings).

  2. Read each vendor’s own booking documentation on October 11, 2026. We read feature pages, help-center articles and moving-industry pages to see what a customer can do alone: price a move, pick a date, sign and pay. Where pages conflicted, we recorded the conflict.

  3. Verified pricing on the vendor’s pricing page. Published prices came from vendor pricing pages. For demo-led vendors we wrote “demo-led,” and we left out third-party price figures that conflicted with the vendor.

  4. Cross-checked Capterra, G2 and Trustpilot. We read ratings and recent complaints, flagged reviews older than two years as dated, and noted when a review site had only a handful of reviews.

  5. Scored five criteria and set the order. Self-booking depth, deposit and signature at booking, moving-job fit, pricing transparency and evidence quality drove the ranking, with operator context from QuoteIQ’s Co-Founders, Mike Vidan and Justin Rogers, on what a booking flow must do in a busy week.

Frequently Asked Questions

QuoteIQ is the best online booking software for most moving companies in 2026. On the Elite and Max plans, customers build a quote, accept it and pick a time from your live availability, and every plan has published pricing and a 14-day trial. MoveitPro has the most moving-specific booking flow, with a video survey, AI cubic-foot and weight pricing and dates from your dispatch calendar, but its pricing is by demo. Elromco books from a quote link with the signature and deposit in one step.

Published prices run from a free Zoho Bookings plan for one user to $289 a month for Elromco Professional and $699.99 a month for QuoteIQ Max. QuoteIQ starts at $29.99 a month, though customer self-scheduling begins on Elite at $299.99. Housecall Pro starts at $59 to $79 a month and Jobber at $29 to $49 a month, depending on billing. Chariot starts at $254 a month. MoveitPro, SmartMoving, Supermove and Workiz price by quote or demo.

Zoho Bookings has a forever-free plan for one user, but it is a general scheduler, and payments and deposits need the Premium plan. Other tools in this list offer trials rather than free plans: 14 days for QuoteIQ, Housecall Pro and Jobber, 15 days for Zoho Bookings paid plans and seven days for Workiz. Elromco has no trial and offers a 30-day refund guarantee instead.

QuoteIQ Essentials at $29.99 a month covers estimates and scheduling for one user, and you can move up to Elite when you want customers booking on their own. Zoho Bookings’ free plan works if you only need customers to book surveys or labor-only jobs. Housecall Pro Basic, at $59 to $79 a month for one user, adds a booking form with deposit options.

QuoteIQ Beginner ($99.99 a month, 2 users) or Pro ($199.99 a month, 4 users, with the Client Portal) fits most two-to-five person crews. Housecall Pro Essentials ($149 to $189 a month, 5 users) is a booking-form alternative, and Elromco Professional ($289 a month, 3 office users and unlimited crew) suits movers who want customers to sign and pay from a quote link.

Larger movers usually need dispatch depth and a sales team, so SmartMoving, Supermove and MoveitPro are the platforms to demo. Elromco Enterprise ($399 a month, unlimited office users, multi-branch) and QuoteIQ Max ($699.99 a month, 20 users) are published-price options.

MoveitPro’s crew app runs on iOS and Android with offline mode, signatures, photos and GPS. QuoteIQ’s mobile app holds a 4.7 rating across more than 4,103 App Store and Google Play reviews. Elromco’s crew portal and Supermove run in a browser, and Chariot’s Mover Hub works on a phone or tablet.

With some tools, yes. MoveitPro lets the customer choose a date from your live dispatch calendar, and QuoteIQ’s InstaSchedule on Elite and Max lets them pick from real availability after accepting an estimate. Housecall Pro, Jobber, Workiz and Zoho Bookings let customers pick a slot from a booking form, which suits surveys and small jobs. Elromco books from a portal link, and SmartMoving, Chariot and Supermove book through staff.

Yes, in several tools. MoveitPro captures a card at booking, Elromco takes the deposit together with the e-signature, and Housecall Pro offers full, fixed or percentage deposits. SmartMoving and Chariot take deposits in a portal or signing flow after staff send an estimate. The FTC advises consumers not to hire anyone who demands a big deposit before the move, so state the amount and your refund rules in the flow.

MoveitPro builds an AI price from a customer’s video walkthrough and lets you show a range or a locked price. Elromco’s embeddable forms show an instant price from your office calculator. QuoteIQ’s InstaQuote on Elite and Max computes the price from your service menu with ZIP upcharges and travel fees, but weight-based pricing is not documented. SmartMoving’s embedded form is documented as lead capture only.

MoveitPro puts a video walkthrough inside its booking form, and SmartMoving integrates LiveSwitch remote surveys. Supermove’s AI voice agents schedule virtual or in-person surveys, and Chariot’s automations can request photo or video inventories.

Yes. SmartMoving’s portal handles deposits, inventory and estimate signing. Elromco’s portal lets customers edit the quote, add inventory photos, sign, pay and track status. QuoteIQ’s Client Portal, on Pro and up, shows estimates, appointments and invoices and takes service requests. MoveitPro’s portal appears only in a 2019 blog post, and we found no portal for Chariot or Supermove.

Export your contacts, jobs and open estimates as CSV, import them into the new tool, and run both systems in parallel for about seven days. Pick a freeze date after which nothing is booked in the old system. Elromco offers free onboarding and data migration, and QuoteIQ has an Imports Hub and an optional Done-For-You setup that includes contact import and price book setup for $299.99.

QuoteIQ is the best Housecall Pro alternative if you want quote, accept and booking in one customer flow, with published prices and a 14-day trial. Elromco is the pick if your priority is a signed order and deposit from a quote link. Both publish their prices, while Housecall Pro documents no moving features.

Elromco publishes $289 a month, month-to-month with no contract or setup fee, and Chariot starts at $254 a month on quarterly or annual billing. QuoteIQ starts at $29.99 a month, with customer self-scheduling on Elite at $299.99, though it is a general field service tool without documented weight-based pricing. SmartMoving itself is quoted by demo on 12, 24 or 36 month terms.

Collect pickup and delivery addresses, a move-date window, home size, stairs or elevator access and contact details. Add photos or a video walkthrough if the tool supports it, plus special items such as pianos. End with a written estimate, your terms and a clearly stated deposit. That sequence matches FMCSA guidance for interstate moves that an estimate be in writing and signed by both sides.

The Bottom Line

For most moving companies that want customers to quote, accept and book on their own, QuoteIQ is our pick for 2026. Customers can quote and schedule themselves on Elite and Max, every plan has a published price starting at $29.99 a month, and the 14-day trial lets you run your own moves through the form before you commit.

QuoteIQ is a field service platform, not a moving-only system, and the ranking says so. MoveitPro and Elromco go deeper on moving-specific pricing and the signed-order flow, so put both on your demo list next to QuoteIQ. Housecall Pro and Jobber are credible booking forms for surveys and small jobs. SmartMoving, Chariot and Supermove are strong when your reps book every move and the customer confirms in a portal.

Whatever you choose, end the customer flow with a written estimate and a clearly stated deposit, test it with three real moves, and get the price in writing. A booking tool that reserves a calendar slot but leaves the price and terms to a phone call has only moved the callback to a different day.
