Available on: Beginner ($74.99/mo), Pro ($149.99/mo), Elite ($299/mo), and Max ($699/mo). The MapMeasure Pro workspace is not included on Essentials. AI Roof & Pitch Measurement is available on every plan, including Essentials, and runs on IQ Credits. Compare plans.
MapMeasure Pro is QuoteIQ’s satellite property-measurement tool. It measures square footage, linear footage, roof dimensions, and pitch from high-resolution aerial imagery, so you can quote a job accurately without driving to the property. It is built directly into the estimate editor, and measurements flow straight into your line-item pricing.
MapMeasure Pro measures any surface visible from aerial imagery and returns either an area (square footage) or a linear distance (perimeter or run), depending on the tool you choose. Measurements are typically within 2–5% of a physical tape measurement, which is accurate enough to price exterior work confidently.

How to measure a property
Open MapMeasure Pro. Open it from the main menu, or tap the MapMeasure (map) icon inside an estimate to open it in the estimate editor.
Load the property. Enter the property address, or use Zillow Quick Access, to load satellite imagery of the lot.
Choose a measurement tool. Use the Area tool for surfaces (roofs, driveways, lawns) or the Linear tool for perimeters (fences, gutters, curbs).
Measure the surface. Trace the surface by dropping points around its boundary, or use AI Measurements to auto-detect a roof, lawn, or concrete area.
Review and label. Check the calculated square footage, linear footage, and roof pitch, then label the measurement (for example, “Front driveway”) so it is easy to identify.
Capture the measurement. Use the capture button to screenshot the measurement if you want to attach the visual to the estimate or invoice.
Save or sync. Save the measurement to the customer profile, or sync it directly into the estimate to price the job from your Price Book.
AI Measurements: roof, lawn, concrete & pitchAI
AI Measurements let MapMeasure Pro detect and measure a surface for you instead of tracing it by hand. You point it at the property and the AI returns the measured area or pitch, which you can review and adjust before adding it to an estimate. AI Measurements run on IQ Credits.
AI mode
What it does
Powered by
AI Roof Measurement
Auto-detects and measures roof segments from aerial imagery, with a color-coded pitch overlay and screenshot capture.
Google Solar API
AI Pitch Measurement
Calculates roof pitch automatically so estimates account for slope without climbing the roof.
Google Solar API
AI Lawn Measurement
Auto-detects and measures turf/lawn area for lawn care, fertilization, and treatment pricing.
AI detection
AI Concrete Measurement
Auto-detects and measures driveways, walkways, and concrete surfaces for cleaning, sealing, and coating.
AI detection
Note: AI Roof & Pitch Measurement is available on every plan (including Essentials) because it runs on IQ Credits. AI Lawn and Concrete detection are part of the AI Measurements set and also use IQ Credits. Manually tracing a surface in the MapMeasure Pro workspace does not consume IQ Credits.
Property LinesNewUses IQ Credits
Property Lines automatically places a property’s boundary lines on the satellite map for you, so you can see the lot edges before you measure surfaces or price perimeter work. It is useful for fencing, lawn care, edging, and any job where the property line defines the scope.
How to use Property Lines
Open the property in MapMeasure Pro and confirm the correct address is loaded.
Tap the Property Lines button in the MapMeasure Pro toolbar.
Review the placed lines. The boundary lines are drawn onto the map automatically; use them as a reference for measuring or pricing.
The Property Lines tool uses IQ Credits each time it places lines on the map, since it generates the boundary for you rather than requiring you to trace it.
Capture a measurement and attach it to estimates & invoices
MapMeasure Pro includes a capture button that screenshots the current measurement view, including the traced surfaces and the color-coded roof pitch. That captured image becomes a visual record you can attach to a quote or an invoice, so the customer sees exactly what was measured and how the price was reached.
Capture in-app. Tap the capture button to save a screenshot of the measurement.
Attach to an estimate or invoice. Add the captured image to the document so the measurement travels with the quote.
Keep a record. Captured measurements live with the job, alongside QuoteIQ Cam photos and documentation on the customer profile.
Sync measurements to estimate pricing
MapMeasure Pro is built into the estimate creation phase, so you do not measure in one place and price in another. While building an estimate, tap the MapMeasure (map) icon in the estimate editor to open the tool, measure the property, and the measurement is used to price the job from your Price Book.
Start or open an estimate for the customer.
Tap the MapMeasure icon in the estimate editor to open MapMeasure Pro.
Measure the surfaces the job covers (area or linear), or pull in a measurement already saved to the customer.
Apply to pricing. The measured square footage or linear footage drives the line-item price based on your Price Book rates, producing an accurate quote in seconds.
Measurements also feed AI Estimator, which turns a measurement into a complete, line-itemized estimate.
Settings & customization
The MapMeasure Pro workspace gives you the following controls when measuring a property:
Measurement tools. Switch between the Area tool (surfaces), the Linear / distance tool (perimeters and runs), and point/pin placement.
Drawing tools. Trace complex, multi-sided shapes by dropping points around any boundary.
Roof pitch overlay. View color-coded pitch on detected roof segments.
Property Lines. Place automatic boundary lines on the map (uses IQ Credits).
Zoom & pan. Zoom in for precise tracing on small surfaces.
Labels. Name each measurement so it is clear on the estimate (for example, “Back patio”).
Save & reuse. Save measurements to the customer profile to reuse on repeat or recurring jobs.
Capture. Screenshot a measurement to attach to estimates and invoices.

Requirements & limits
Plan. The MapMeasure Pro workspace requires the Beginner plan or above; AI Roof & Pitch Measurement works on any plan via IQ Credits.
IQ Credits. AI Measurements (roof, lawn, concrete, pitch) and the Property Lines tool consume IQ Credits per use. Manual tracing does not.
Accuracy. Measurements are typically within 2–5% of tape measurement and depend on the quality of satellite imagery for the address.
Imagery. AI roof detection relies on Google Solar API coverage, which is broad but not available for every structure.

MapMeasure Pro measurements are typically within 2 to 5 percent of a physical tape measurement, which is accurate enough to price exterior work such as house washing, roofing, lawn care, and concrete confidently. Accuracy depends on satellite image quality for the address. For a final number, you can verify the measurement on site before invoicing.
Yes. AI Roof Measurement uses Google’s Solar API to auto-detect and measure roof segments from aerial imagery and calculates the pitch automatically, with a color-coded pitch overlay. You can capture a screenshot of the result and attach it to the estimate. This removes the need to climb on the roof for an initial estimate.
