How to set up instant quotes in QuoteIQ
Set your prices
Choose the services customers can quote and give each a price.
Share your form
Paste the embed on your website, or text the direct link.
They pick services
Your customer ticks the services they want, then taps Continue.
Measure the area
Square-foot service? Confirm the address and draw it on the map.
Accept and book
They see the price and deposit, accept, then pick a time.
It lands in QuoteIQ
You get notified. The lead and estimate are in QuoteIQ.
The customer prices the job on your quote form.
Services, a few questions, the address, then the price.
Your InstaQuote form walks the customer through four steps: pick services, answer a few questions, add contact details and the service address, then see the quote. Prices come from your own services and pricing matrix, and when a service allows it the customer measures the area on a map, the customer's side of MapMeasure Pro.
From services to a price in four steps.
On Tidewater Lawn & Landscape's branded form, Jake has picked Lawn Mowing and Sod Installation. He taps Continue, answers one quick question, enters his name, mobile number, email, service address and how he heard about the company, taps Get My Quote and lands on Your quote is ready with Accept estimate.
Every answer the price needs.
On A few questions, Jake taps Continue too early and the Mulch Install card flags what it still needs: a size, a mulch type and a yes or no. He types 12, picks Hardwood mulch and taps Yes to removing the old mulch, and Continue moves him on to his contact details.
The right property, verified.
On the contact step the verified address reads 1427 Live Oak Dr in Pooler, the wrong property. Change property address opens Confirm the property address; Jake retypes it, picks 1427 Live Oak Ln, Savannah, taps Confirm address, and the form shows the right property as Verified.
Tap the corners, get the size.
On One quick question for Sod Installation, Jake taps Measure now. A satellite map of his property opens at his address; he taps the corners of his front lawn, closes the shape and taps Done, and the card reads Measured 401 Sq.ft with the size filled in.
Photos and a note
Customers can add up to 6 photos of the property and a note for your crew before they get the quote.
An estimate every time
Each InstaQuote submission creates an estimate under the customer, emails them a copy and sends you an InstaQuote created notification.
Price a job the way your customer would.
Six live InstaQuote forms, embedded the way they sit on a contractor's website.
Choose a trade, tick the services you want and step through the questions. It is the same form your customers use, running inside an ordinary web page.
Live forms on QuoteIQ demo accounts. Nothing is sent until you tap Get My Quote.
Accepted and booked while you sleep.
Accept the quote, pick a time, done.
The quote page shows the total, the services and Accept estimate, and a copy goes to the customer's email. When InstaSchedule for Estimates is on, the customer picks a time on your schedule straight after accepting.
Accepted with his name.
Your quote is ready opens with the total and the services, and says a copy was emailed to Jake. He skims the lines, taps Accept estimate and types his full name to confirm, and the card turns to Almost ready, pick a time, with a Schedule Appointment button.
Booked from your openings.
Schedule Appointment opens a scheduling dialog with Tidewater Lawn & Landscape's details, a September calendar and open times. Jake picks Thursday the 24th, then 9:00 AM, taps Confirm appointment, and the page reads Appointment scheduled.
Deposit before the booking
When you require a deposit, the form tells the customer before they submit that the deposit is due when they book and that getting the quote is free. The deposit is set on the estimate, and the customer pays it from the estimate page through online payments.
Let your website quote the job tonight.
InstaQuote and InstaSchedule are included on the Elite and Max plans.
Pick the services. Set the prices once.
Your price list, turned into a quote form.
InstaQuote Setup lists your services and how many can be quoted. Each service's price and Pricing Matrix come from the services you already sell in estimates, and a service with no price yet is flagged so you know what to finish.
Choose what customers can quote.
Set Services switches the list to selection mode with all seven services. Checking Irrigation Repair makes the button read Save 4 services, and the hub returns with Saved, 4 services live, 3 of 4 services can be quoted, and Up next: give Irrigation Repair a price.
Let customers measure.
InstaQuote Setup shows 3 of 4 services can be quoted. The owner opens the Sod Installation card and switches on Allow customer to measure their property; a Success toast confirms it, and the card now reads Quotable and Customer can measure.
Questions that change the price.
Sod Installation's Pricing Matrix starts empty. The owner adds Sod Type as a dropdown, with Zoysia at 21 percent and St. Augustine at 35 percent more, then Site conditions as yes-or-no questions, types the minimum price and taps Save & Update.
Describe it, get a draft.
Mulch Install has no questions yet, so the owner taps Build with AI and types how they price it: pine straw or hardwood at the normal price, dyed mulch 15 percent more, and a fee to pull out old mulch. Generate matrix drafts 2 questions and a Save bar waits for review.
Build with AI uses IQ Credits
Drafting a matrix with AI uses IQ Credits from your plan, and nothing is saved until you review the draft. Each plan's monthly credits are on the pricing page.
Deposits, discounts and travel, priced in.
Rules every quote the form makes carries.
Quote Settings holds what every InstaQuote carries, whichever services are picked: a deposit, zip code pricing, a travel fee by driving distance, discount codes and a client message.
A deposit on every quote.
The owner switches on Require a deposit, types 25, reads it as a percentage of the total and taps Save. The toast reads Deposit saved, and InstaQuote Setup now lists Deposit, 25% of total, so every quote the form makes carries it.
Charge more where you drive further.
Zip Code Pricing starts at No Zip Code Pricing Yet. Add Zip Code adds 31401 at 10% of the quote total and 31405 at a fixed amount, and Save confirms Zip code pricing saved. The upcharge shows on the quote as its own line.
A fee by driving distance.
The owner switches on Charge a Travel Fee, adds 2210 Skidaway Rd as the starting point and a 0 to 20 mile tier, and taps Save; the toast reads Travel fee saved. Miles are the driving distance from the starting point, and the fee shows on the quote.
Codes customers type in.
On the empty Discount Codes screen the owner taps Add discount code and types SPRING15 at 15 percent off. It lands in the list as SPRING15, 15% off the quote, Save confirms Discount codes saved, and the quote form shows its discount code field.
Deposit limits
Some states cap how much a contractor may take up front, so check your state's rules before you choose the deposit.
Every quote is a lead you can follow.
Price shown or not, you get the lead.
Lead Capture & Thank You decides what the customer sees after submitting: the quote straight away, or a thank-you with no price, like a request a quote form, while you still get the estimate. The form asks How did you hear about us? from your own lead sources, and each submission can start an InstaQuote Created automation.
Take the request, send the price later.
In Lead Capture & Thank You, the owner switches on Lead capture only so the customer sees no price, types tidewaterlawn.com/thanks as the thank-you page and taps Save. The toast reads Lead capture settings saved.
Thanks, no price.
In lead-capture mode Jake types a note for the crew and taps Send request. The form becomes Thanks, Jake! Your request is in, with no price shown; a company with its own thank-you page sends the customer there instead.
Know which ads bring quotes.
Lead Sources lists Website, Facebook, Google, Referral and Yard Sign. The owner taps Add, types Neighbor referral, and it lands at the top of the Active list; Set as default moves the DEFAULT badge onto it.
Follow-ups that send themselves.
The Automations dashboard shows 3 active templates, 3 pending sends and 24 sent in the last 7 days over a Recent Activity feed of reminders, follow-ups and thank-you emails. Pending Sends opens the Queue of what goes out next.
Share it anywhere
Share Your Form gives you a Direct Link for texts and emails, a Website Embed to paste on your site as an iFrame, and an InstaQuote QR Code to download for trucks, yard signs and door hangers.
Your colors and logo
Branding matches the customer form to your primary color, accent color and company logo.

Quoting software, instant quotes and deposits, explained.
Straight answers about letting customers price the job themselves.
Updated
The best quoting software for contractors is instant quote software: a form on your website that prices a job the moment a customer answers a few questions, using the prices and rules you set in advance. Instead of a request that waits for a callback, the customer sees a real number straight away and can accept it. In QuoteIQ this is InstaQuote: the customer picks services, answers each service's questions, adds contact details and the service address, and gets a quote built from your own service list.
Each submission becomes an estimate in QuoteIQ and a customer in your client database, and you get a notification. Customers can then book a time with InstaSchedule and pay a deposit through online payments. The same pricing works whether the form sits on your site, behind a texted link or a QR code; contact request forms cover jobs you would rather price in person.
Prices you show online are advertising, so keep them accurate; the FTC's advertising FAQ for small businesses explains what that means.
An online quote form for contractors works by turning your price list into questions: the customer picks a service, answers what changes the price, such as size, material or extras, and the form does the math. In QuoteIQ, the InstaQuote quoting tool runs in four steps: services, a few questions, contact details with the service address, then the quote.
The questions come from each service's Pricing Matrix, which you build by hand or draft with Build with AI using IQ Credits. When you allow it, the customer measures their lawn or driveway on a satellite map, like MapMeasure Pro does for your team. Quote Settings add a deposit, zip code pricing, a travel fee and discount codes to every quote. The result is an estimate the customer can accept, and e-signatures, InstaSchedule and online payments take it from there.
Forms collect personal details, so treat them with care; the FTC's privacy and security guidance covers what small businesses should do.
You add an instant quote calculator to a website by pasting the embed code your quoting tool gives you into a page, the same way you would add a video or a map. In QuoteIQ, open InstaQuote, choose Share Your Form and copy the Website Embed, which you paste on your site as an iFrame; WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and hand-built sites all accept it.
Share Your Form also gives you a Direct Link to send by text or email and an InstaQuote QR Code to download for trucks, yard signs and door hangers. Branding matches the form to your colors and logo. Put the link in your text blasts and email campaigns, show it in the client portal, and track which source each quote came from in analytics. Customers who would rather talk can still reach you through ClientHub.
Make the page usable for everyone: the ADA guidance on web accessibility explains why forms need labels and keyboard access.
A contractor should ask for a deposit that covers the cost of holding the date and buying materials, and never more than your state allows. Many home service businesses ask for a fixed amount or a percentage of the total, and some states cap it: California's contractors board says a home improvement down payment should never exceed 10 percent of the contract price or 1,000 dollars, whichever is less.
In QuoteIQ, InstaQuote's Deposit setting requires a deposit on every quote the form makes, as a fixed amount or a percentage worked out from the final total. The customer sees before they submit that the deposit is due when they book, and pays it from the estimate through online payments. Larger jobs can use customer financing through your payment processor (Stripe or Whop), and the deposit carries into the invoice. Record it with the job in the client database.
Check your own state's rules; the California CSLB contract guidance and the FTC's home improvement advice both explain down payment limits.
Contractors price jobs without a site visit by measuring the property from a map, asking the customer the few questions that change the price, and using set rates for each service. Lawn care, pressure washing and landscaping jobs are priced by area, so an accurate measurement does most of the work, and a roofer can give an instant roof quote the same way from a price per square foot, then confirm the roof on site.
In QuoteIQ, your team measures in an estimate with MapMeasure Pro, and InstaQuote lets the customer do it: when a service allows customer measurement, the question card offers Measure now and the size fills in from the shape they draw. Customers can add up to 6 photos of the property and a note, which you see on the estimate. For bigger jobs use options estimates or the AI estimator, and keep your prices in step with trade practice on the lawn care and pressure washing pages.
Trade groups publish pricing and practice guides, such as Power Washers of North America and the National Association of Landscape Professionals.
You charge a travel fee for service calls by setting distance bands from your shop or starting point and adding a fixed fee for each band, so far-away jobs pay for the drive. Some businesses add a zip code upcharge instead, which is simpler when your area has clear edges.
InstaQuote does both. Travel Fee measures the driving distance from your starting point to the service address and adds the fee for that mileage tier as its own line on the quote; Zip Code Pricing adds a fixed amount or a percentage for the zip codes you name. The customer sees the line before they accept, so there are no surprises on the invoice. Plan the day around those jobs with route optimization and route density, keep crews on time with scheduling, and track mileage costs in expense tracking.
The IRS standard mileage rates are a useful yardstick for what each business mile costs you.
Home service businesses that can price a job from a few answers usually do better showing prices on their website, because customers compare quickly and many will not wait for a callback. Showing a price does not mean one flat rate: a quote form can ask the questions that change the price and show a number built for that job.
If you would rather talk before quoting, InstaQuote's Lead capture only setting hides the price: the customer sends the request, sees a thank-you, and you still get the estimate to review and send. Either way the customer lands in your client database with a lead source, and automations can follow up. Add a review request after the job, and send quotes that need more detail as proposals.
Whatever you show must be the price customers pay; the FTC's advertising and marketing guidance covers honest pricing claims.
Contractor quoting software, including instant quote software, is usually a monthly subscription, sold alone or as part of a field service app, and the price depends on whether scheduling, payments and the CRM come with it. In QuoteIQ, InstaQuote is included on the Elite plan at $299.99/month with 10 users and on the Max plan at $699.99/month with 20 users, together with InstaSchedule.
Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. A credit or debit card is required to start. Compare plans on the pricing page or go straight to the Elite plan or the Max plan. The same subscription covers estimates, invoicing and scheduling, and Build with AI for pricing matrices uses the IQ Credits that come with each plan.
When you compare subscriptions, read the trial and renewal terms; the FTC's advertising and marketing guidance covers how free trials and automatic renewals must be disclosed.
