Soft washing puts chemicals, roofs and landscaping in play, so a signed waiver before the first nozzle opens is cheap protection. We compared ten tools on how fast a customer can sign, where the signed copy ends up, and what each one really costs in 2026.
The best waiver signing software for soft washing businesses in 2026 is QuoteIQ. A customer signs the estimate and its terms from a text or email link on their phone, your waiver document rides along as an estimate attachment, and on Pro and above you can send standalone waivers through QuoteIQ Sign, with signed copies saved to the customer record. Housecall Pro and Jobber are the strongest field service alternatives. Smartwaiver and WaiverForever are dedicated waiver apps from about $19 a month, but they sit outside your quotes and schedule. SignWell has a free plan for occasional documents.
| Rank | Platform | Starting Price | Best For | Standout Feature |

| #2 | Housecall Pro | $59/mo billed annually ($79 monthly) | Crews that want an on-site custom job signature | Up to 3 custom signatures, including “Before work starts” |
| #3 | Jobber | $29/mo billed annually ($49 monthly) | Simple quote approval with an optional signature | “Require client signatures” setting on quotes |
| #4 | Markate | $49.95/mo ($45.95 billed yearly) | Owner-operators watching every dollar | E-signature capture before and after the job |
| #5 | Smartwaiver | $19/mo (100 signed waivers) | High-volume standalone waivers | Offline collection, ID scanning and an API |
| #6 | WaiverForever | $19/mo (first 50 submissions free) | Template-heavy waiver programs | AI and PDF-to-form template builder |
| #7 | SignWell | Free (3 docs/mo); $10/mo billed annually | Occasional PDFs on a small budget | Free plan and a low per-sender price |
| #8 | PandaDoc | Free eSign; $19/seat/mo billed annually | Branded proposals with signatures | Pricing tables and approval workflows (Business plan) |
| #9 | DocuSign | $11/mo (5 envelopes a month) | Formal contracts and legal review | Envelope-based templates and audit trail |
| #10 | ResponsiBid | About $179–$229/mo flat | Quote follow-up for soft wash sales | Automated quoting (signing not publicly documented) |
Prices are as published on each vendor’s pricing page on October 11, 2026. Annual and monthly rates are labeled where a vendor shows both. Vendor pricing changes often, so confirm on the vendor’s site before you buy.
We’re QuoteIQ. We made this list. We also picked our own platform as #1 — here’s exactly why, with the trade-offs each tool brings to the table. Five criteria drove every ranking decision:
Our sources were each vendor’s public pricing page, its help-center and feature documentation, and public review listings. We did not run hands-on tests of competing products, so every competitor entry describes documented behavior, not a lab result. Where a vendor does not say which plan includes a feature, or does not document signing at all, we say that instead of guessing.
One boundary matters more than any ranking. Software can capture a signature and store a copy. It cannot make waiver language enforceable. Under the federal E-SIGN Act, a signature or contract relating to a transaction in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce “may not be denied legal effect, validity, or enforceability solely because it is in electronic form.” The Act also carries its own exceptions and conditions, and what a court will enforce in your state depends on the words you wrote. This page is general information, not legal advice, so have a local attorney review your waiver before you rely on it.
“You define what ‘done correctly’ looks like in writing, then you measure against it every time.”
— Justin Rogers, Co-Founder of QuoteIQ
QuoteIQ is the best waiver signing software for soft washing because the waiver is not a separate app. It lives in the same customer record as the estimate, the before photos, the schedule and the invoice, so the question “did they sign before we started?” has exactly one place to look. See how it is set up for your trade on our soft washing software page.
Most soft wash waivers start inside the estimate. Measure the house, roof or driveway from satellite imagery with MapMeasure Pro, build the estimate, put your waiver terms in the estimate’s terms section, and send it. The customer opens a branded link from a text or email on a phone, tablet or computer, with no app download and no account, and signs with a finger, stylus or mouse. Every signature is timestamped and stored with the estimate, and the signed record is reachable from the customer’s profile. That is the core of QuoteIQ’s e-signatures.
When a waiver needs to stand alone — a roof cleaning release, a pre-existing condition acknowledgment, a change-of-scope sign-off — QuoteIQ Sign sends any document for signature from Tools in the web app. Upload the document, place signature, initial and date boxes, start from a template in the Contract library if you keep one, and send it. The signer agrees to sign electronically, a copy of the signed document is emailed to them, and it appears on the customer record. Choosing “Save changes for future signers” keeps your box layout for the next send. Creating new Sign documents requires the Pro, Elite or Max plan; every plan can still open, send and download Sign documents that already exist.
Evidence beats memory in a dispute, and QuoteIQ Cam, available from the Beginner plan up, keeps before-and-after photos, inspection reports and job forms on the same record. The waiver, the photos of the oxidation that was already there, and the finished job sit side by side.
Best for: Soft wash crews that want quote, waiver, schedule and invoice in one place, from a solo operator on Beginner to a 20-user team on Max.
“Documentation is not bureaucracy. It is your protection, and it costs nothing but the habit.”
— Mike Vidan, Co-Founder of QuoteIQ
Pros
Where it falls short
Verdict: For a soft wash business that wants the waiver, estimate, photos, schedule and invoice in one place, QuoteIQ is the strongest fit on this list. If standalone waivers are your priority, start on Pro ($199.99/mo, 4 users); either way, put your waiver terms into every estimate from day one. Annual billing is two months free.
Housecall Pro is the closest field service rival on this list for on-site signatures, because it offers two signing tools instead of one.
On estimates, the customer is prompted to sign when they approve an option. They enter their name, then keep a typed signature or draw one, and can review your Terms and Conditions and check a box agreeing to do business electronically. The estimate is approved only after the signature lands, controlled by a “Require e-signatures for approval” toggle under Settings > Estimates > Configuration. Per Housecall Pro’s help center, e-signatures are on by default for accounts created on or after March 1, 2025, and both you and the customer receive a signed PDF that includes the signer’s name, IP address and timestamp.
For waivers, the more interesting tool is custom job signatures. A pro can create up to three custom signatures, each with its own name and terms, in Settings > Jobs > General. The built-in options are “Before work starts” and “After work is complete,” and a custom signature can cover a waiver or work authorization. The customer signs in the mobile app when the pro taps Approve on the job.
Neither help article names the plan that includes these features, so get the answer in writing during a demo before you pick a tier.
Best for: Crews that want a signature on the job itself, not only on the estimate, and already live in a field service app.
Pros
Where it falls short
Verdict: A strong second pick if you want an on-the-job waiver signature and already like Housecall Pro. QuoteIQ edges it by sending standalone documents with signature, initial and date boxes and by keeping photos, estimate and signed copies on one customer record.
Jobber is a polished general field service app. For waivers, its tool is quote approval: clients view the quote in the client hub, approve it online, and can draw or type a signature.
The catch is that signatures are optional. A “Require client signatures” setting controls whether clients are prompted, and per Jobber’s help center, approval does not strictly depend on a signature. Editing the contract or disclaimer text on an approved quote removes the client’s signature, so the client has to sign again.
Jobber has no standalone waiver document. In a community thread about signing contracts on site, one contributor suggested using the quote’s contract and disclaimer area, an ambassador suggested putting the full contract language in the Branding section with a signature, and another ambassador pointed to ResponsiBid for signing on an iPad. None of those replies came from Jobber staff, so treat them as workarounds, not documented features.
Best for: Crews already running on Jobber that need a signature on the quote and a short disclaimer.
Pros
Where it falls short
Verdict: Fine for a short disclaimer on a quote. If your waiver is a full page that needs initials, or a signed copy that stands apart from the quote, Jobber leaves you stitching in another tool.
Markate is a low-cost field service app. Its pricing page lists “Contactless E-Signature Capture,” described as securely obtaining e-signatures through Markate’s mobile app before and after job completion. That wording maps neatly onto a before-work waiver and an after-work sign-off.
Around the signature, the base plan includes standard, option and package estimates, an automated estimate-to-work-order-and-invoice flow, change-order tracking with approvals, job checklists and photos, and a File Vault for sensitive business documents. Sales proposal templates and a branded customer portal are $10 a month each, and app access for each employee is $5 a month.
What the pricing page does not describe is a waiver template library, a form builder or contract management. You would write your waiver language into an estimate or document and capture the signature in the app, then confirm in a demo how the signed copy is stored and delivered.
Best for: Owner-operators who want signature capture inside an inexpensive field service app and can live with a simpler feature set.
Pros
Where it falls short
Verdict: A sensible low-cost pick, especially for a one-person soft wash business. Compared with QuoteIQ, you give up standalone Sign documents and the attachment, photo and portal tooling in one record.
Smartwaiver is a dedicated waiver system, and it shows. Its pricing page lists unlimited waiver templates, signing by email, SMS, app, website or QR code, offline waiver collection, driver’s license ID scanning, automatic photo capture, iOS and Android apps, and an open API.
Pricing is by signed waivers per month. Basic is $19/mo for up to 100, Starter is $55 for up to 300, and Premium is $199 for up to 2,500. Annual billing saves 15% ($194, $561 and $2,030 a year), and a $5/mo storage plan keeps data in WaiverVault when you are not collecting waivers. Capterra lists the product at 4.8 out of 5 from 51 reviews and mentions a free trial that the pricing page does not.
The fit question is what happens after the signature. Smartwaiver’s listed integrations — FareHarbor, Xola, Rezdy, Constant Contact, Mailchimp and TrekkSoft — point at tour and activity businesses, not field service. A soft wash crew would collect the waiver in Smartwaiver, then re-enter the customer in whatever app holds the quote, schedule and invoice.
Best for: Operators who collect large numbers of standalone waivers and run quoting and scheduling in a different system.
Pros
Where it falls short
Verdict: The best waiver-only tool here. Choose it if waivers are the whole job. Choose QuoteIQ if you would rather not re-enter every customer in a second system.
WaiverForever is another dedicated waiver platform, with a more flexible way to build the form. You can draft a waiver with AI, use a drag-and-drop editor, or convert an existing PDF into a fillable form, and start from a template gallery. Customers sign on phones, tablets or kiosks, and the signed waiver is emailed or texted to them.
Pricing sits on three tiers plus usage. Essential is $19/mo, Standard is $39/mo and Scale is $129/mo, and each plan includes the first 50 submissions. After that, waivers are billed at $0.10 each for the next 250, $0.08 for the next 700, $0.064 for the next 4,000 and $0.05 beyond. Essential includes 3 templates and one offline device, Standard 25 templates and 10 offline devices, and Scale unlimited templates. Annual prices are not shown.
WaiverForever says it serves more than 40,000 customers and names fitness studios, tattoo shops, tour operators and rental shops among its examples. It describes its signatures as legally binding but does not mention the ESIGN or UETA acts on that page. The iOS and Android apps work offline and sync later, which helps on a driveway with poor signal, and a built-in CRM groups signed waivers by customer.
Best for: Operators who want a polished waiver builder and offline capture and are happy to run it beside a separate quoting app.
Pros
Where it falls short
Verdict: Great for waiver-first businesses. For a soft washer, the extra tool is the cost: you still need quoting, scheduling and invoicing somewhere else.
SignWell is a straightforward e-signature app, and one of the cheapest ways to get a PDF waiver signed. Upload your waiver, place the signature fields, send it, and the customer signs from a link.
The Free plan allows 3 documents a month with one sender and one template. Light is $10/mo billed annually ($12 monthly) with unlimited documents, one sender and five templates per sender. Business is $30/mo billed annually ($36 monthly) with unlimited documents, three senders, unlimited templates and 50 SMS credits a month. Enterprise is custom, and an API is included on every plan.
SignWell’s page is inconsistent about audit trails: the feature table lists an audit trail under every plan, but the FAQ says audit trails come with every paid plan. If a signed record matters to you, confirm what the Free plan gives you.
SignWell knows nothing about your customers, jobs or estimates, so you manage the connection by hand: email the signed PDF, or file it in a folder next to the quote.
Best for: Solo soft washers who send occasional waivers and want the lowest possible price.
Pros
Where it falls short
Verdict: The budget pick for a solo soft washer who sends an occasional waiver. Once you are sending one with every job, a tool that attaches it to the estimate saves time.
PandaDoc is built for proposals and contracts, and it handles branded documents with signatures better than most. A waiver is a short document by comparison, so this is more tool than many soft washers need.
The Free plan includes eSign, an audit trail and a mobile app, though the page states the document limit two ways: 60 documents a year in a callout and 5 a month in the comparison table. Starter is $19 per seat per month billed annually with unlimited documents created in the editor and up to five templates. Business is $49 per seat per month billed annually and adds unlimited templates, custom branding, a content library, approval workflows, payments, pricing tables, automatic reminders, recipient analytics and in-person signing. Enterprise is custom.
Documents created through the API or automation need usage credits, with overage at $3.50 per document on monthly Starter billing or $2 on annual billing. Some add-ons, such as CRM integrations, web forms and bulk send, cost extra.
Best for: Soft wash companies sending formal proposals to commercial or property-management customers where branding and approvals matter.
Pros
Where it falls short
Verdict: Worth a look if you send formal proposals to property managers and want the waiver in the same branded package. For routine residential jobs, a field service tool with signing built in is simpler.
DocuSign is the name most customers recognize. It is also the most formal tool here, and its envelope caps are tight for a crew that sends a waiver with every job.
Personal is $11/mo on an annual commitment ($132 a year) with 5 envelopes a month. Standard is $30 per user per month ($360 a year) and Business Pro is $45 per user per month ($540 a year), each with 100 envelopes per user per year. Standard and Business Pro also come as monthly plans with up to 10 envelopes per user per month. Extra envelopes are billed pay-as-you-go.
That envelope math matters for waivers. One hundred envelopes a year is about eight a month, and a crew that sends a waiver with every job will pass it quickly; Personal’s five a month is tighter still. Standard adds shared templates, delegated signing and branding, and Business Pro adds web forms, payment collection and bulk send.
Best for: Larger soft wash companies with legal review, multi-party contracts or customers who require DocuSign.
Pros
Where it falls short
Verdict: Pick DocuSign if a customer or lawyer requires it. For ordinary residential and light commercial soft washing, it costs more per signature than the field service tools above.
ResponsiBid is a quoting and follow-up tool that appears in Jobber community threads and in our other e-signature roundups, so we checked it for waiver signing. We rank it last because its public feature lists do not document e-signature.
Plans are flat monthly rates of roughly $179 to $229, depending on tier. Capterra and ResponsiBid’s own pricing page name the tiers differently, and a setup fee is mentioned but not priced publicly. Capterra rates it 4.8 out of 5 from 40 reviews. Its listed features include automated quoting, online booking, a CRM, a client portal for securely sharing documents, and integrations with Jobber and The Customer Factor. E-signature, proposals and contracts are not listed there, and ResponsiBid’s features page does not mention them either.
The only signing detail we found came from a Jobber community thread, where an ambassador said sales reps use ResponsiBid on iPads so clients can sign in person. That is a community member’s account, not vendor documentation. Capterra reviewers also mention long setup, no auto-save while building a bid, and a browser mobile experience they wish were a dedicated app.
Best for: Soft wash sales teams focused on quote follow-up who will confirm the signing flow in a demo.
Pros
Where it falls short
Verdict: Treat ResponsiBid as a quoting aid, not a waiver tool. Ask for a demo of the exact signing flow before you count on it, and pair it with one of the options above.
Exterior cleaning is a large, crowded field, so the crew with the cleaner paper trail looks more professional than the one without. The paperwork that matters, though, is wider than a waiver.
A customer waiver sits beside other obligations; it does not replace them. OSHA’s Hazard Communication standard requires employers with hazardous chemicals to give exposed workers labels and safety data sheets and to train them to handle those chemicals safely. EPA’s NPDES program is the Clean Water Act permit system for pollutant discharges, and EPA has authorized many states to run it, so your wash-water rules start with your state. The United Association of Mobile Contract Cleaners says it works with municipalities on Best Management Practices tied to the Clean Water Act, and Power Washers of North America offers certificate courses that include House Wash and Roof Cleaning. A signed waiver proves the customer agreed to the scope and the risks. It does not prove your crew handled the chemicals correctly.
Start with the signature inside the estimate. QuoteIQ Beginner ($99.99/mo, 2 users) gives you MapMeasure Pro, QuoteIQ Cam and Contract Attachments, so one estimate carries your waiver terms, your before photos and the customer’s signature. If the budget is tighter, Markate at $49.95/mo includes e-signature capture, and SignWell’s free plan covers three PDF waivers a month. Move up to Pro when you want standalone waivers through QuoteIQ Sign.
QuoteIQ Pro ($199.99/mo, 4 users) is the sweet spot. It is the first plan that creates QuoteIQ Sign documents, so your roof cleaning release, pre-existing condition form and change-of-scope sign-off can each go out as their own signed document, and the Client Portal gives customers one place to see estimates and invoices. If your team already runs on Housecall Pro, its custom job signatures can cover a waiver on the job.
QuoteIQ Elite ($299.99/mo, 10 users) keeps everyone on one signed-waiver workflow and includes the Proposals feature at no extra charge, where lower plans pay 100 IQ Credits per estimate. Housecall Pro Essentials ($149/mo billed annually, 5 users) is the field service alternative if your office is already settled there. Whichever you choose, decide who confirms the signed copy is on file before a crew leaves the yard.
Choose QuoteIQ Max ($699.99/mo, 20 users) or Elite plus extra users at $25 per additional user per month. At this size the waiver process needs an owner: someone who updates the template, audits signed copies and handles exceptions. If your attorney wants a formal workflow for certain contracts, add DocuSign or PandaDoc for those and keep routine waivers in your field service app.
Waiver volume becomes a cost driver. Model DocuSign’s per-user envelope caps and Smartwaiver’s 100, 300 and 2,500 signed-waiver tiers against the jobs you finish each month before you commit. QuoteIQ Max includes 20 users with no per-signature fees on e-signatures, and Housecall Pro Max ($299/mo billed annually) includes 8 users with $35 for each additional one.
Commercial customers sometimes bring their own contract or want a branded proposal. PandaDoc Business ($49 per seat per month billed annually) adds approval workflows and pricing tables, and DocuSign suits customers who insist on it. Keep a field service tool for the schedule and invoices, and let QuoteIQ’s estimate attachments and QuoteIQ Sign carry your standard terms when the customer does not send paper of their own.
Pick the tool with the fewest steps. Housecall Pro turns e-signatures on by default for accounts created on or after March 1, 2025, and one toggle requires a signature before an estimate is approved. Markate keeps signing inside its mobile app. If you want one record without a long setup, QuoteIQ’s estimate signing works from a text or email link the customer opens on their own phone.
1Listed every signing tool soft wash operators could realistically use. We started with field service apps, dedicated waiver apps and general e-signature tools, then cut the list to ten that cover each approach. We set aside tools whose public pages neither listed prices nor described any signing feature.
2Verified pricing on each vendor’s own pages on October 11, 2026. We read plan names, monthly and annual prices, user counts and signing limits directly from vendor pricing pages. Where a page was unclear or contradicted itself, such as PandaDoc’s Free plan limit, we said so instead of picking a number.
3Read help-center and feature documentation against waiver needs. We checked each tool for signing on a phone without a customer account, a timestamped record, a stored copy tied to the customer or job, reusable templates and offline capture. Anything we could not confirm is marked as unconfirmed.
4Reviewed public ratings where they exist. Smartwaiver and ResponsiBid have Capterra ratings of 4.8 from 51 and 40 reviews. QuoteIQ’s 4.7 rating spans 4,103 App Store and Google Play reviews. Several vendors had no comparable public rating, so ratings informed the order without deciding it.
5Added operator perspective from Mike Vidan and Justin Rogers. Both Co-Founders have published written guidance on documentation, written standards and software selection. We used it as a check on the ranking, then published the trade-offs for QuoteIQ alongside everyone else’s.
“This app has made it so easy to run my soft wash business.”
“Just getting started with soft wash and I am checking out billing services to make the monetary side a little easier”
“Shoutout to Mike and Justin, the guys you see in youtube videos, yes, they have helped me on this journey.”
These are the soft wash reviewers in our review database, all five-star. None of them mentions waivers, so read them as general feedback on QuoteIQ, not as proof of how the signing tools perform.

His insights page focuses on written standards, systems and choosing software that fits the business you actually run.
Read Justin’s insights →The best waiver signing software for soft washing businesses in 2026 is QuoteIQ. Customers sign the estimate and its terms from a text or email link, your waiver document can ride along as an estimate attachment, and Pro and above add standalone QuoteIQ Sign documents, with signed copies stored on the customer record. Housecall Pro is the strongest field service alternative for on-the-job signatures. If you only need a standalone waiver form, Smartwaiver starts at $19 a month.
Dedicated waiver apps start near $19 a month: Smartwaiver Basic covers up to 100 signed waivers, and WaiverForever Essential adds usage billing after the first 50 submissions. General e-signature tools run from free (SignWell, PandaDoc) to $45 per user per month for DocuSign Business Pro. Field service apps with signing built in start at $29.99 a month for QuoteIQ Essentials and reach $699.99 for Max, where QuoteIQ Sign document creation starts on the $199.99 Pro plan.
In limited form, yes. SignWell’s Free plan allows 3 documents a month, PandaDoc has a Free eSign plan, and WaiverForever includes the first 50 submissions on every plan before usage billing. QuoteIQ doesn’t have a free plan, but it offers a 14-day free trial, with plans from $29.99 a month for solo operators up to $699.99 for 20-user teams. Free tools rarely connect the signed waiver to your estimate or schedule, and that gap is the real cost.
It depends on where you want the waiver to live. QuoteIQ Beginner ($99.99/mo) puts the waiver terms, photos and signature in the estimate itself. Markate ($49.95/mo) includes e-signature capture in its mobile app, and SignWell’s free or $10/mo plans handle a standalone PDF waiver. If you send only a few waivers a month, start with SignWell; if you quote and schedule in one app, start with a field service tool.
QuoteIQ Pro ($199.99/mo, 4 users) covers most 2-5 person crews and is the first plan that creates standalone QuoteIQ Sign documents. Housecall Pro Essentials ($149/mo billed annually) includes 5 users, but confirm that custom job signatures are on your plan, because its help articles do not say. Jobber adds optional quote signatures for crews that only need a short disclaimer, though its pricing page does not name the plan.
At 20 or more employees, QuoteIQ Max ($699.99/mo, 20 users, $25 for each additional user) keeps waivers, estimates and invoices in one system. Housecall Pro Max ($299/mo billed annually, 8 users plus $35 each) is the main field service alternative. If your attorney or customers require a formal workflow, add DocuSign or PandaDoc for those contracts, and model their per-user and envelope limits first.
Yes. Smartwaiver and WaiverForever both have iOS and Android apps with offline collection, which helps on jobsites with poor signal. Housecall Pro collects custom job signatures in its mobile app, and Markate captures e-signatures in its app. QuoteIQ customers sign from a text or email link in their phone’s browser with no app download, and QuoteIQ’s apps hold a 4.7-star rating across 4,103 App Store and Google Play reviews.
Yes. With QuoteIQ, the customer opens a branded estimate link by text or email, reviews the terms and signs from home or on site, with no app or account. Housecall Pro prompts the customer to sign when they approve an estimate option, and Jobber can require a signature on quote approval. Signing before the appointment lets you confirm the waiver is on file before the crew drives out.
QuoteIQ pairs signing with estimating built around MapMeasure Pro, which measures properties from satellite imagery, and with Contract Attachments for waivers, licenses and insurance documents on the estimate. Housecall Pro and Jobber have solid estimate approval flows, and Markate converts signed estimates into work orders and invoices. Smartwaiver, WaiverForever, SignWell and DocuSign do not estimate, so you would quote in a separate tool.
Field service apps are the answer, because the signed waiver stays next to the job. In QuoteIQ, signed Sign documents appear on the customer record and estimate signatures are stored with the estimate. In Housecall Pro, custom signatures appear in the job’s Approvals section and at the bottom of the invoice. Dedicated waiver apps store signed waivers well but keep them away from your calendar.
QuoteIQ and Housecall Pro tie the signature to the invoice flow: QuoteIQ stores the signed estimate and lets you convert it to an invoice, and Housecall Pro shows the signature at the bottom of the invoice. Jobber’s client hub lets customers approve quotes and pay invoices online, and Markate converts estimates into work orders and invoices. Dedicated waiver apps do not invoice.
Generally, a signature cannot be denied legal effect solely because it is electronic. The federal E-SIGN Act says a signature, contract or other record relating to a transaction in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce “may not be denied legal effect, validity, or enforceability solely because it is in electronic form.” The Act has exceptions, and enforceability still depends on your state and the waiver’s wording, so have an attorney review it. This is general information, not legal advice.
Jobber lets clients draw or type a signature when they approve a quote, and the “Require client signatures” setting makes it mandatory. Put your waiver language in the quote’s contract and disclaimer area, and remember that editing it after approval removes the signature. For a standalone waiver document, Jobber community members suggest workarounds, so many crews pair Jobber with a waiver app such as Smartwaiver or SignWell, or move to a platform with signing built in, like QuoteIQ.
QuoteIQ is the best alternative for most soft wash businesses: estimate e-signatures, standalone QuoteIQ Sign documents from the Pro plan, and photos and attachments on the same record. Housecall Pro limits custom job signatures to three, while QuoteIQ Sign lets you send any uploaded document with signature, initial and date boxes. Jobber and Markate are lower-cost field service alternatives with simpler signing.
Yes. SignWell is free for 3 documents a month and $10/mo billed annually for unlimited documents, and PandaDoc has a Free eSign plan. DocuSign Personal is $11/mo for 5 envelopes a month, and its Standard plan includes 100 envelopes per user per year. If you also need quoting and scheduling, a field service app with signing built in, such as QuoteIQ, avoids paying for a separate signature tool.
Topics worth raising with your attorney include pre-existing conditions such as failing paint, oxidation and torn screens, plants and landscaping near the work, water entering through damaged seals or openings, and the limits of what cleaning can achieve. Operators in a Pressure Washing Resource forum thread also describe walking the property with the customer and photographing concerns before starting. The attorney drafts the language; the software only records that the customer signed it.
Trusted by thousands of verified contractors · 4.7★ average rating · 4,103+ reviews on App Store + Google Play
For most soft washing businesses in 2026, QuoteIQ is the best place to collect waivers. It keeps the signed waiver, the estimate, the before photos, the schedule and the invoice in one customer record, so proof of agreement is never in a different app from the job. Estimate e-signatures work from a text or email link with no customer account, and on Pro and above QuoteIQ Sign sends standalone waivers, releases and sign-offs.
The runners-up have real strengths. Housecall Pro’s custom job signatures are the closest field service match for a waiver on the job. Jobber suits a short disclaimer on a quote, and Markate is a low-cost way to capture signatures in an app. Smartwaiver and WaiverForever are the deepest waiver-only tools, and SignWell is the cheapest way to get a PDF signed. PandaDoc and DocuSign are for formal commercial paperwork, and ResponsiBid is a quoting aid whose signing flow you should confirm in a demo.
Whatever you pick, remember what software cannot do. It records that a customer agreed. It does not make the language enforceable, and it does not replace the chemical safety paperwork or discharge rules that govern the work itself. Write the waiver with an attorney, photograph the property before you start, and make signing part of every estimate instead of a step your crew remembers sometimes. As more customers expect to sign from their phone before a crew arrives, the soft wash companies with a clean paper trail will look like the professionals they are. QuoteIQ is built for that workflow: one record, one signature, one place to look.
