Update

A rebuilt calendar, Google Calendar sync & nine big changes.

A smoother working day, from the first scheduled job to the final invoice.

The short version
The Short Version

The nine big changes:

  • The calendar was rebuilt. Day, Week and Month views, drag a job to a new day with a five-second undo, a side rail that lists the day’s agenda in order, a conflict warning, and reusable calendar templates.
  • Google Calendar sync was rebuilt. Connect your Google account, choose exactly which fields sync, and see your own Google events inside the QuoteIQ calendar. Recurring jobs now sync every occurrence, and connecting from an iPhone or iPad works.
  • Route optimization lives in the calendar now. A travel ribbon shows real road distance between stops, and one toggle orders the day’s stops for you.
  • InstaQuote was rebuilt. A branded, step-by-step customer form with priced service rows, a deposit line, discount codes, ZIP-based travel fees, and a map-measure step whose screenshot lands on the estimate.
  • Estimates and invoices load in pages. Search runs on the server across name, number, address, email and phone, so large accounts open instantly. Rolling out account by account.
  • Presets, job vs. billing address, and attachments. Fill common estimate and invoice fields automatically, keep the job address separate from the billing address on documents and PDFs, and let customers see attached files and their own signature on the estimate page.
  • Additional contacts on the customer record. Each extra contact has its own details and an auto-add toggle, one recipient picker serves jobs, estimates and invoices, and international numbers dial correctly.
  • Auto-Pay checkout through Whop. Customers can start a recurring Auto-Pay subscription by entering a card on their subscription link, and you can enrol them from the app.
  • Imports fixed, plus contact-list imports. Line items map correctly, nothing from your file is dropped silently, and a CSV can go straight into a campaign list without touching your customer database.

Everything else:

  • Improvements and fixes across 15 existing areasestimates, proposals, invoices, contacts, Client Hub, calendar, forms, dashboard, automations, Virtual Call Team, team permissions, files, the app shell, the customer web portal and QuickBooks.
  • Twelve money-and-data fixes worth calling out separately — backdated payments, options-estimate breakdowns, double top-ups and more.
  • Early access. An AI Assistant connector for Claude and ChatGPT and QuoteIQ Sign are live for early testing on the web app; Google Business Profile reviews are next.

The nine big changes.

The rebuilds and additions that change your working day.

01

The Rebuilt Calendar

Day, Week and Month views, drag-to-reschedule and a five-second undo.

Rebuilt
Rebuilt · the headline change · all plans
Headline Change

Day, Week and Month. Drag It, Drop It, Undo It.

The tablet and desktop calendar was rebuilt around a workspace layout: a collapsible side rail with a mini month, crew key and filters, a command band above the schedule, and a redesigned toolbar with segmented Day / Month and All / Jobs / Events controls, proper Today, Route Optimization, Filter and Map buttons, and the Views switch where you can reach it.

A Week view joins Day and Month with the same colour-coded chips and drag-to-reschedule. Month view is back: drag a job onto another day and it reschedules, keeps its start time, and gives you a five-second undo. The desktop day timeline shows about half again as many hours at once.

The reason a calendar rebuild is the headline of the QuoteIQ September 2026 Update is that scheduling is the one screen every service business touches every single day. A roofing company deciding which crew takes the tear-off, a pest control operator squeezing a callback into a full route, a plumber moving Thursday to Friday because the part didn’t arrive — that all happens here. If the calendar is slow or cramped, the whole day is.

  • NewWeek view alongside Day and Month, with colour-coded chips and drag-to-reschedule.
  • NewMonth view returns. Drag a job to another day; it keeps its start time and offers a five-second undo.
  • NewDay agenda in the side rail. In Month view the rail lists the selected day in time order with names, services and end times; each row opens its appointment.
  • NewSchedule-conflict warning, job cards that grow into free gap space, and an overlap sheet showing customer, phone and services when two jobs collide.
  • NewCalendar Templates settings screen, and video attachments on calendar entries.
  • ImprovedUnassigned jobs show in navy, finished jobs read as done in Month and Week, week chips grow into small cards on busy days, day columns get a draggable scrollbar, Schedule Later sorts by tentative date, and jobs with an invoice carry an “Invoiced” chip.
  • ImprovedEntries without a customer are labelled by title or services instead of a bare “Event” or “Job”; solo businesses no longer see an “Unassigned” chip; every clickable surface shows hover feedback on desktop.
  • FixedMulti-day jobs draw as one continuous bar, the date headline no longer truncates, and Monthly/Daily totals stay visible on small tablets.
  • FixedFiltering the calendar to a person no longer hides their events, the account owner can be filtered on, the crew filter honours every crew picked, and the filter menu closes after a pick.
  • FixedDragging a repeating visit moves only that occurrence, never the whole series; a multi-day job dragged across a daylight-saving change keeps its full length; turning a saved job recurring keeps it on the calendar; unchecking a recurring job cancels all remaining occurrences.
  • ImprovedOn the phone, swiping between days moves the week strip and day view together, a stray drag no longer changes the date, the overflow menu opens as a full-width bottom sheet, and the drag confirmation stays for ten seconds with a close button.
Why the undo matters more than it sounds

Drag-and-drop scheduling has a known failure: a thumb slips, a job lands on the wrong Tuesday, and nobody notices until the customer calls. The five-second undo on desktop and the ten-second confirmation on mobile exist for exactly that moment. Combined with the new conflict warning and the overlap sheet, the calendar now tells you when you have double-booked a crew instead of letting you find out in the field. It pairs with dispatching and crews the same way it always has.

“QuoteIQ keeps me organized, on time, and professional; Customers love the clean quotes, and I love the easy job scheduling.”

Google Calendar Sync, Rebuilt

Your Google events and QuoteIQ jobs, together in one working view.

Rebuilt
Rebuilt · connect from Settings

Google Calendar sync has been in QuoteIQ for a long time. In the QuoteIQ September 2026 Update it was rebuilt from the ground up rather than patched. You connect a Google account from a one-screen sync dialog, tick exactly which job fields should appear on the Google side, and set a backfill window for how far back to sync. Your own Google events then appear inside the QuoteIQ calendar, visible only to you, with an editable event card — Navigate, Join, Directions, Copy — that can edit or delete the Google event without leaving QuoteIQ.

Two directions, one calendar

QuoteIQ jobs land on your Google Calendar with a per-user colour, and your Google events show up in QuoteIQ so you can see the dentist appointment next to the roof inspection.

Works from a phone now

Connecting from an iPhone or iPad completes Google sign-in instead of failing at the redirect, and the feature is reachable on mobile at all — it wasn’t before.

  • NewOne-screen sync dialog with field checkboxes, a backfill window and per-user preferences.
  • NewYour Google events overlaid in the QuoteIQ calendar, visible only to you, with a card that can edit or delete them.
  • FixedRecurring schedules sync every occurrence, including reschedules, single-occurrence cancellations and assignment changes.
  • Fixed“Sync all” is back in both calendar menus, and assigning or unassigning a team member on an existing schedule syncs.
  • FixedAll-day events no longer land a day early west of Greenwich; a saved edit no longer blanks the card; the time picker clock is no longer clipped.
Sync runs on IQ Credits

The rebuilt sync is metered in IQ Credits per event added, with a credit check and consent before it starts and an automatic shut-off if the balance runs out. Credits are included with every plan, so for most businesses this is invisible. Google documents the sharing and permission model the sync sits on top of.

03

Route Optimization Inside the Calendar

See the drive between jobs while you plan the day.

New in calendar
New in the calendar · builds on the existing route tools

Route optimization was already in QuoteIQ. What changed is where it lives. A travel ribbon now runs along the calendar showing real road distance between each stop, so you can see a 40-minute gap between two jobs while you are still deciding where to put the third. Route Optimization itself is an owner-level opt-in with a toggle in the detail sheet: turn it on and the day’s stops are ordered for you.

The ribbon uses the same road-distance service as the existing route tools, with a public routing fallback if the primary service is unavailable, so it works today on every account. For a pressure washing outfit doing eight stops a day or a lawn care route with twenty, the difference between planning by address and planning by drive time is fuel, hours and one more job a day. The federal fuel economy guidance puts a number on what idling and backtracking cost.

  • NewTravel ribbon on the calendar with real road distance between stops.
  • NewRoute Optimization toggle in the detail sheet, owner opt-in, metered in IQ Credits per leg it resolves.
  • ImprovedRoute map and calendar widgets moved to the settings design system, and secondary and icon buttons are exposed to screen readers.
04

InstaQuote, Rebuilt

An entirely rebuilt customer-facing quote form.

Rebuilt
Rebuilt · customer-facing form and settings

InstaQuote is the customer self-quoting tool: a homeowner answers a few questions on your site and gets a price. In the QuoteIQ September 2026 Update the customer-facing form was rebuilt end to end. It now sits in a branded shell with priced service rows, single-scroll configure cards, a price hero, loading skeletons, and real not-found, expired and paused states instead of a blank page. The wizard asks one configurable service per step with validation, consistent Back buttons, and address suggestions anchored below the input while the customer scrolls.

The price is computed on the server

Repricing, deposit line, an always-included service, a ZIP upcharge and a travel fee with multiple origins are all applied server-side, so nobody edits the number in their browser.

Discount codes and lead capture

Discount codes get a settings editor and validation on the form, and lead capture means a customer who bails halfway still becomes a contact.

Map-measure step

The customer outlines the area on a satellite map; the screenshot is attached to the estimate’s photos, so you see what they measured. A failed photo attachment retries once automatically.

AI pricing-matrix builder

In the app, an AI builder drafts your InstaQuote pricing matrix, with an editor and an Add to mine / Replace / Keep choice so it never overwrites your pricing without asking.

There is also an “InstaQuote Created” automation trigger, so an automation can fire the moment a customer quotes themselves — a text to the office, a follow-up email to the customer, a task for the salesperson. Pair it with InstaSchedule and the customer can quote and book without anyone picking up a phone. The U.S. Small Business Administration covers the sales-process side of self-service quoting well.

“Since using QuoteIQ, my pest control business scheduling and invoicing has improved greatly.”

Estimates and Invoices Load in Pages

Faster lists and search for estimates and invoices.

Rolling out
Rebuilt read path · rolling out account by account

Until now, opening the Estimates or Invoices screen loaded every document you had ever created. On a two-year-old account with four thousand invoices, that was the slowest screen in the app. It has been replaced with server-side paging, precomputed totals and a search index, so the list loads page by page and search runs on the server across customer name, number, address, email and phone.

  • ImprovedLists load page by page; the biggest accounts stop paying for the whole collection on every open.
  • ImprovedSearching keeps each tab’s count and total (the Paid tab shows a count only), and the counts no longer vanish while results load. The estimates search box waits until you pause typing.
  • ImprovedDashboard revenue and profit read from precomputed daily buckets, cash-collected figures come from a payments ledger, and large accounts see a progress banner while their history is indexed.
  • FixedAn invoice stored as “paid” shows under Paid on both the phone list and the wide table; the two used one classifier before and disagreed.
  • FixedSearch, clear, search again no longer leaves a tab stuck loading; the proposal chooser loads in pages too.
  • Fixed“Select All” reads “Select loaded” when only one page is loaded and says how many more the tab holds, so a bulk delete cannot silently skip rows.
  • FixedTyping in the phone invoice search box filters the list, and the Subscriptions tab filters by the search box like the other tabs.
Rolling out, not flipped on for everyone at once

The paged read path is switched on account by account so history can be indexed first. If your Estimates screen still loads the old way, you are in the queue; the phone invoice list’s paged mode ships with a later build. Nothing changes about your data either way.

06

Presets, Job vs. Billing Address, and Attachments

Less repeat entry. Clearer documents. Better attachments.

New
New · estimates, invoices and their PDFs

Three small things that remove a lot of repeated typing. Field presets for estimates and invoices live in Settings — expiration date, unit breakdown, every field on the manage screen — so your usual values are filled in before you start. A Job address is now separate from the Billing address on estimates, invoices and their PDFs, with manual billing-address entry, which is the fix every property-management plumber and commercial HVAC contractor has asked for. And customers now see the files attached to an estimate on their estimate page, with uploaded photos below the notes.

  • NewField presets for estimates and invoices in Settings.
  • NewJob address separate from Billing address on estimates, invoices and PDFs.
  • NewImport shortcuts on the Services, Estimates and Invoices screens, and an AI-assisted inventory CSV import.
  • NewPartial-payment percentage toggle, and the estimate expiration date prints on PDFs.
  • NewCustomers see attached files on the estimate page; PDF photos are clickable and attachment rows stay together across pages.
  • NewThe customer’s drawn signature shows immediately after acceptance and is persisted to the public estimate and its PDF. See e-signatures.
  • NewEstimates auto-save while you edit them, and new estimates are created as Open so “Estimate Created” automations fire right away — a company setting keeps saving them as Drafts instead.
07

Additional Contacts on the Customer Record

Bring the right people into each job, estimate and invoice.

Expanded
Expanded · builds on August’s multiple-contacts-per-job

The August update let a job carry more than one contact. This cycle moves those contacts onto the customer record itself, where they belong. A customer can hold additional contacts, each with its own name, phone, email and country. The old “primary contact” star is replaced by an auto-add toggle that decides whether that person is attached automatically whenever a new estimate, job or invoice is created. Jobs, estimates and invoices pick recipients from one shared list, so the same people are offered everywhere, and the attached contacts show on the estimate and invoice detail screens.

  • NewAdditional contacts on the customer, created and edited from the manage sheet and listed on the contact screen.
  • NewAuto-add toggle replaces the primary-contact star.
  • NewOne recipient picker across jobs, estimates and invoices; additional contacts carry through to all three.
  • FixedTexts to contacts outside the US dial with the right country code — Trinidad, Jamaica and the rest — instead of being truncated, with a country-code picker in the SMS recipient dialog and one phone formatter everywhere.
  • ImprovedContact prefix (Dr / Mr / Mrs / Ms) replaces the suffix field.
08

Auto-Pay Checkout Through Whop

A redesigned card checkout for recurring customer payments.

New
New · for businesses running payments on Whop

Whop joined Stripe as a second payment processor in August. The QuoteIQ September 2026 Update gives it recurring billing. A customer can start an Auto-Pay subscription by entering a card on their subscription link, on a redesigned subscription page, with no card on file needed beforehand. You can also enrol a customer in Auto-Pay from the app; cancelling routes to Whop, and the billing interval reads “every 30 days” so nobody is surprised by the date.

Alongside it, verification is now enforced the way a processor requires. A business on Whop must finish identity verification and have payouts enabled before customers can pay online, save a card, be charged from a saved card, or enrol in a subscription. Pausing or cancelling a subscription is never blocked. The Payments settings card says “Payouts are paused” with a link to resolve it when that is the case, names the real obstacle instead of a generic “In review”, and shows the current status rather than a days-old snapshot. Portal estimates and invoices from an unverified business show no Pay button, so a customer never hits a dead end. Whop’s own documentation covers the verification steps; for the customer-side rules on recurring charges, the CFPB is the reference.

  • NewCustomers start Auto-Pay by entering a card on their subscription link, on a redesigned page.
  • NewEnrol customers in Auto-Pay from the app; cancellation routes to Whop.
  • NewVerification and payout gating before online payments, saved cards or subscriptions.
  • ImprovedPayments settings card shows the real payout status and what to do about it.
  • FixedThe on-screen keyboard no longer hides the card-entry fields, and Whop merchants no longer see prompts to set up Stripe.

“So glad I found QuoteIQ I can now send estimates and invoices with links for payment with ease.”

Import Fixes and Contact-List Imports

Cleaner imports, plus direct imports into campaign lists.

Fixed & extended
Fixed and extended · the rebuilt import is in the app

The rebuilt CSV and AI import promised in August ships in the QuoteIQ September 2026 Update, and its first real-world run surfaced mapping bugs that are now fixed. Line items are mapped again; tax, discount and deposit rows land on the document fields instead of becoming services; a warning flags line items left unmapped; and unmapped columns are surfaced above the field cards so nothing from your file is dropped silently. Contact imports understand separate residential and business address columns and can apply tags as they import.

  • FixedEstimate and invoice imports no longer triple contacts or leave them hollowed out.
  • FixedLine items map correctly; tax, discount and deposit rows go where they belong; unmapped columns are shown, not hidden.
  • NewResidential vs. business address columns and tag-on-import for contacts.
  • NewImport straight into a campaign contact list without adding those people to your customer database, with duplicate checks kept inside that list. Built for text and email campaigns.
  • NewDelete a contact list, with a confirmation step.
  • ImprovedA known file shape no longer pays for a fresh mapping every time; the mapping cache is keyed consistently.
If you hand-corrected a mapping before this release

The mapping engine moved to a new version. Any column mapping you corrected by hand under the old one needs to be corrected once more; after that it is remembered. The IRS small business hub is a useful reference on keeping imported customer and invoice records straight for tax purposes.

Part two · Improvements by area

Better in the details.

Fifteen existing areas improved. Open the tools you use to see what changed.

Estimates

  • ImprovedSearch matches more reliably, lists stay in sync, pricing defaults apply, and invoice rows can be filtered.
  • FixedCreating an estimate after visiting the template page no longer errors, and the estimate type stays locked once chosen.
  • FixedThe quick estimate form clears after you create an estimate, and tapping an estimate notification opens that estimate.
  • FixedMaterial templates work on both the standard and AI estimate paths, and templates carry on reopen.

Proposals

  • NewEditor screens for the About, Reviews and Services sections, plus a library screen for reusable proposal content.
  • Improved“Require initials” is offered only on Documents sections, and a failed publish includes an error code for support.
  • FixedSelecting several photos or documents adds all of them, not just the first; a customer’s signature and initials survive an edit after signing.

Invoices and Payments

  • ImprovedA close-out flow for partially paid balances on invoices.
  • FixedThe customer portal link updates when you pick a different customer.

Contacts

  • FixedOpening an existing contact no longer strands you in the edit form.
  • FixedA company with a blank name no longer disappears from the workspace list.
  • FixedLead sources no longer duplicate when cached offline, and importing contacts works more reliably.

Client Hub and Texting

  • ImprovedThe request-a-number screen is back, redesigned: enter up to three preferred area codes and support provisions your Client Hub number.
  • Fixed“On the way” texts send reliably again, and the message field is no longer hidden by the keyboard.
  • FixedTexting keeps the right conversation when a customer’s phone number changes, including closed conversations, and changing a customer’s number updates their Client Hub number too.
  • FixedAfter sending a text the compose form closes; mass text campaigns with large recipient lists no longer stop part-way.
  • FixedThe in-call mini bar no longer covers the menu button; its height adjusts and the speaker toggle was removed.
  • NewA number released by mistake can be recovered within ten days.

Calendar and Scheduling (beyond the rebuild)

  • NewThe job form warns before you leave with unsaved changes and lets you discard them; the separate Save button is gone.
  • FixedSharing or copying a Job Form link saves the form first so the link works, and image previews on job-form live links load again.
  • FixedTapping a job-assignment notification opens that job; tapping a task notification opens the task.
  • FixedEditing a service description while adding it to a job keeps the edit on the job instead of overwriting the price book.
  • FixedThe job timer keeps counting after the app is closed, and each time entry records whether it was started manually or by geofence.
  • FixedAdding labour or expenses to previous jobs works again.
  • FixedSelf-scheduling blocks off slots employees are already booked for, including pending requests; you choose which employees take part and only those with booking hours are offered.
The self-scheduling fix to tell your office about

Before this release, a customer booking through InstaSchedule could pick a slot a technician was already booked for. Now booked slots and pending requests are blocked, and you decide which employees appear as options. If you had turned self-scheduling off because of double-bookings, it is safe to turn back on.

Forms and Integrations API

  • FixedForm submissions sent through the API — Zapier, n8n and similar — are accepted again; they are validated by field label, not by builder id.
  • FixedInspection-form PDFs can be generated from desktop and web.

Dashboard and Reports

  • NewAn Activity Log screen showing what happened in the workspace and who did it.
  • FixedEmployees no longer see the owner dashboard while the app starts.
  • FixedCard titles are left-aligned again in business analytics.

Automations and Campaigns

  • Fixed“Estimate created” automations fire when a draft is published, not while it is still a draft, and drafts are no longer promoted automatically.
  • FixedAutomations that hit a retry no longer stick in “Pending”.
  • FixedMarketing campaign emails send reliably again, and batch call campaign status refreshes on open.

Virtual Call Team and Voice

  • NewAI agents index uploaded knowledge-base documents so they can answer callers from your own material — your price list, your service area, your FAQ.
  • FixedAgents stuck as “not properly configured” are repaired by saving again, with a clearer message when setup fails.
  • ImprovedVoice calls prepare the device more reliably before connecting.

Team and Permissions

  • FixedAdmin employees can edit other employees’ permissions again; permission changes save reliably and switched-off permissions stay off after a refresh.
  • FixedEmployees who accepted their invitation no longer show as pending, vanish from @mentions, or become unassignable; deleting an invite sent to a mistyped email no longer fails.
  • FixedThe web navigation bar hides features outside your subscription tier.

Files, Photos and PDFs

  • NewPDFs can be shared directly from the mobile app, with a better mobile PDF toolbar.
  • ImprovedFile picker options are relabelled and carry a QuoteIQ badge to tell your QuoteIQ files from your device; the Upload File button names the file types it accepts.
  • FixedPDF thumbnails generate reliably for larger files, and measurement-library property cards show the property name instead of its address.

App Experience

  • ImprovedThe Quick Actions sheet is redesigned as one card with coloured icons and one-line descriptions, led by an AI AutoPilot shortcut; a plus-icon quick action creates new items faster.
  • NewA “Done” bar above the keyboard on every field; Android explains why a permission is needed before asking.
  • ImprovediOS-style action sheets follow your theme with readable icon colours; button labels trim instead of wrapping; the note composer expands for long text.
  • FixedSearchable dropdowns scroll into view before opening so the keyboard does not cover them; “Send via Phone” is hidden on desktop where it cannot work.
  • FixedIn the browser the bottom navigation no longer sticks on Home until a resize, and the internal notes section on a pipeline deal no longer crashes.

Customer Web Portal

  • FixedEstimate and self-scheduling pages open again instead of returning an error, and pages recover after a release without a hard refresh.
  • FixedOpening the portal from an emailed link lands on the portal home page; the home page no longer errors when opened directly or refreshed; subscription pages load again.
  • NewThe property banner shows a satellite view of the address when no AutoMeasure aerial photo exists.
  • ImprovedCompany date-format preferences apply consistently in the app, exports, PDFs and on the web.

QuickBooks

  • FixedQuickBooks service sync no longer stalls when a service name already exists in QuickBooks, including archived items.
  • FixedSync recovers when a customer was deleted in QuickBooks, and QuickBooks stays connected after its tokens refresh.

12 notable fixes

Twelve fixes that touched money and data.

12 fixes worth calling out

Twelve fixes in the QuoteIQ September 2026 Update are separated out because they affected money or data, which is a different category of problem from a layout bug. If any of them describes something you noticed, it’s resolved.

  • FixedEstimates with options show the correct pricing breakdown, including discounts.
  • FixedThe expiration date set while creating an estimate is saved.
  • FixedSwitching a line item from unit pricing to flat rate keeps its price.
  • FixedDraft estimates no longer swap the customer’s addresses.
  • FixedThe total in the actions and save-options dialogs rounds to two decimals.
  • FixedIQ Credit auto top-up no longer charges twice when several calls run out of credits at the same moment.
  • FixedA trial or subscription you just started no longer occasionally shows as “no plan” right after purchase.
  • FixedYear-to-date sales totals are rebuilt from invoices for cloned accounts.
  • FixedExpense widgets calculate correctly, with both charts updating together.
  • FixedLast 30 / Last 90 day ranges are correct across daylight-saving changes.
  • FixedInvoice details no longer go stale after an edit.

AI Assistant connector for Claude and ChatGPT

Connect Claude or ChatGPT to your QuoteIQ account.

Early access
  • Early accessConnect Claude or ChatGPT to your QuoteIQ account from Settings → Automation → AI Assistant, with a copyable connector link. The connector shows the QuoteIQ icon and lives at its own address.
  • Early access134 actions, each marked read-only or destructive. Every write comes back as pending approval and lands in the in-app approvals screen with a bell notification; invoice creation pauses on an in-chat Proceed / Cancel card; deletes stay in-app only.
  • Early accessLarge accounts can be searched and paginated through the assistant, and invoice and estimate math, timestamps, inventory, contact lists, expenses, tasks and schedules follow the exact field contracts the app reads.

The practical version: you ask Claude or ChatGPT “what did we invoice the Hendersons in July?” and it reads your QuoteIQ data to answer. Ask it to create something and it drafts the action, but nothing is written until you approve it inside QuoteIQ. The connector uses the open Model Context Protocol standard; Anthropic documents custom connectors in Claude and OpenAI documents connectors in ChatGPT. It sits alongside AI AutoPilot and AI CoPilot, which run inside the app.

QuoteIQ Sign

Send standalone documents for e-signature.

Early access
  • Early accessSend standalone documents for e-signature from Tools — signing emails go out, and the signing links open on the customer web site. This extends the estimate and proposal signing added in August to any document, organised in folders.

Google Business Profile reviews — next

Google Business Profile reviews are next.

Coming next
  • ComingConnect a Google Business account from the Dashboard card or the Review Hub to see reviews and get AI-drafted replies. The service behind it is deployed; the connection flow is being finished. Google’s own guide to reading and replying to reviews shows what it will save you.
  • ImprovedReview Hub uses the full pane width, dropping its heading and tagline.
Early-access release details
Live for early testing on the web app · not yet in the mobile builds
Listed here so you know what’s coming — not counted in the nine above

Three capabilities in the QuoteIQ September 2026 Update are switched on for early testing on the web app. They are deliberately kept out of the nine big changes because they are not yet in the iPhone and Android builds and may change before they land there.

Under the Hood

Infrastructure, performance and security improvements.

Infrastructure and security · what you benefit from without seeing
  • ImprovedMap tiles you have already loaded are reused instead of fetched again. Every map open used to start from scratch; now one shared session is kept, and static previews (the calendar hero, address cards) no longer load a live map each. Maps open faster and the platform’s map bill drops by an estimated $1,600 a month at full rollout — money that goes back into features, not into Google. Google documents the session model behind it.
  • NewA dedicated search index for estimates and invoices with backfill and indexing queues sized for the rollout, and a payments ledger that dashboard cash figures read from.
  • NewDedicated services for Google Calendar sync, Google reviews, QuoteIQ Sign and the AI Assistant connector, each with its own credentials and permissions.
  • NewA staging environment for the customer web portal, so portal changes are tested on a copy before your customers see them.
  • ImprovedAutomated testing runs 8,600 checks on every change before it can ship.

Security

  • ImprovedCredentials moved out of configuration files into a managed secrets store, and the code history was scrubbed and verified before the repository was opened to the full development team.
  • ImprovedDatabase rules tightened for the AI Assistant connector, the payments ledger, the activity log and e-signing; a no-authentication test endpoint from development was removed from every build.
  • ImprovedRelease scripts refuse to build a mobile release while an early-access feature is still switched on, so nothing half-finished reaches the app stores by accident.

None of this changes how you use QuoteIQ. It is listed because a customer trusting a platform with their customer list and payment data deserves to know the plumbing is being maintained, not just the paint. CISA’s Secure Our World guidance covers the same principles — least privilege, no shared credentials — for small businesses.

A few more answers

Your update questions,
answered.

What is new in the QuoteIQ September 2026 Update?

The QuoteIQ September 2026 Update covers 18 August through 10 September 2026 and has nine significant changes. The calendar was rebuilt with Day, Week and Month views, drag-to-reschedule with a five-second undo, a day agenda in the side rail, a conflict warning and calendar templates. Google Calendar sync was rebuilt with a one-screen setup, field-level control over what syncs, your own Google events shown inside QuoteIQ, and every occurrence of a recurring job syncing. Route optimization moved into the calendar with a travel ribbon showing real road distance between stops.

InstaQuote got a rebuilt customer-facing form with server-side pricing, discount codes, ZIP-based travel fees and a map-measure step. Estimate and invoice lists now load in pages with server-side search. Field presets, a separate job and billing address, customer-visible attachments, additional contacts on the customer record, Auto-Pay checkout through Whop, and the fixed CSV import with direct contact-list imports round out the nine. Everything else is improvements and fixes across fifteen existing areas, plus early access to an AI Assistant connector for Claude and ChatGPT and QuoteIQ Sign on the web app. Previous releases are archived on the updates page.

Does QuoteIQ sync with Google Calendar?

Yes. QuoteIQ has a two-way Google Calendar sync, and it was rebuilt from the ground up in the September 2026 release. You connect a Google account from a one-screen dialog, tick which job fields should appear on the Google side, and set how far back to sync. QuoteIQ jobs then show on your Google Calendar with a per-user colour, and your own Google events appear inside the QuoteIQ calendar, visible only to you, with an event card that can edit or delete the Google event without leaving QuoteIQ.

The rebuild fixed the problems that made the old sync unreliable: recurring schedules now sync every occurrence including reschedules, single-occurrence cancellations and assignment changes; all-day events no longer land a day early in US time zones; and connecting from an iPhone or iPad completes Google sign-in instead of failing. Sync is metered in IQ Credits per event, which are included with Beginner and above, with a credit check before it starts and an automatic shut-off if the balance runs out. Google’s calendar sync help covers the Google-side settings.

What is the best field service calendar with a week view and drag-and-drop scheduling?

The QuoteIQ calendar, rebuilt in the QuoteIQ September 2026 Update, offers Day, Week and Month views with colour-coded job chips and drag-to-reschedule in all three. Drag a job onto another day in Month view and it reschedules, keeps its start time, and offers a five-second undo; on the phone the confirmation stays for ten seconds with a close button. A collapsible side rail holds a mini month, crew key and filters, and in Month view it lists the selected day’s agenda in time order with names, services and end times.

The details that matter on a busy day are there too: a schedule-conflict warning, an overlap sheet showing customer, phone and services when two jobs collide, job cards that grow into free gap space, an “Invoiced” chip on jobs that already have an invoice, and a travel ribbon showing road distance between stops. Dragging a repeating visit moves only that occurrence, never the series. It works on every plan, and pairs with dispatching, crews and customer self-scheduling. Whether Jobber or Housecall Pro is a better fit for your team is covered on the comparison hub.

How does route optimization work in field service software?

Route optimization takes the day’s stops and orders them to minimise drive time, using real road distance rather than straight-line distance. In QuoteIQ, route optimization now lives inside the calendar. A travel ribbon shows the road distance between each stop while you are still deciding where to put the next job, and an owner-level toggle in the detail sheet orders the day for you. The ribbon uses the same road-distance service as the existing route tools, with a public routing fallback, so it works on every account today.

The payoff is straightforward for a lawn care route with twenty stops or a pest control operator squeezing in a callback: less fuel, fewer hours on the road, and often one more job a day. Route optimization in QuoteIQ is on the Elite plan and above, and the in-calendar version is metered in IQ Credits per leg it resolves. The federal fuel economy guidance quantifies what backtracking and idling cost, and Google documents the routing model this kind of tool relies on.

How can customers get an instant quote online from a contractor?

With a self-quoting form on the contractor’s website. QuoteIQ’s version is InstaQuote, and its customer-facing form was rebuilt in the QuoteIQ September 2026 Update. The homeowner steps through one configurable service at a time in a branded form with priced service rows and a running price, can outline the area on a satellite map, enters a discount code if they have one, and gets a price that is computed on the server — with a deposit line, any always-included service, a ZIP-based upcharge and a travel fee from the nearest of your locations all applied automatically.

On your side, an AI builder drafts the pricing matrix, an “InstaQuote Created” trigger lets an automation fire the moment a customer quotes themselves, and lead capture means a customer who stops halfway still becomes a contact. The map screenshot lands on the estimate’s photos so you can see what they measured. Paired with InstaSchedule, a customer can quote and book without a phone call. InstaQuote is on the Elite plan and above. The U.S. Small Business Administration covers the sales side of self-service quoting.

How do contractors set up automatic recurring payments for customers?

Through a subscription invoice with Auto-Pay. In QuoteIQ, a business running payments on Whop can now send a customer a subscription link; the customer enters a card on a redesigned subscription page and an Auto-Pay subscription starts, with no card on file needed beforehand. You can also enrol a customer from the app. The billing interval reads “every 30 days” so the customer knows the date, and cancelling routes to Whop. Businesses on Stripe already had recurring auto-pay; the QuoteIQ September 2026 Update brings Whop to parity.

A processor requires identity verification and enabled payouts before it will move money, and QuoteIQ now enforces that: an unverified business cannot take online payments, save a card, charge a saved card or enrol a subscription, and its portal estimates and invoices show no Pay button so the customer never hits a dead end. Pausing or cancelling is never blocked. The Payments settings card shows the current payout status and a link to resolve any hold. For the customer-side rules on recurring charges, the CFPB is the reference; for the processor mechanics, Whop and Stripe both publish theirs.

Can you connect ChatGPT or Claude to field service management software?

With QuoteIQ, yes — in early access. An AI Assistant connector lets you add QuoteIQ as a connector in Claude or ChatGPT from Settings → Automation → AI Assistant, using the open Model Context Protocol standard. Once connected, the assistant can read your account to answer questions like which estimates are still open or what a customer was invoiced last quarter, across 134 actions covering estimates, invoices, contacts, schedules, tasks, expenses and inventory.

The safeguard is that nothing is written from the chat. Every create or update comes back as pending approval and lands in an in-app approvals screen with a notification; invoice creation pauses on a Proceed / Cancel card; and deletes are not available through the connector at all. As of the September 2026 release the connector is switched on for early testing on the web app and not yet in the mobile builds. It complements AI AutoPilot, which runs the CRM by voice or text inside the app, and AI CoPilot inside estimates and invoices. Anthropic’s guide to custom connectors and OpenAI’s guide to connectors in ChatGPT cover the assistant side.

How much does QuoteIQ cost per month in 2026?

QuoteIQ pricing starts at $29.99 per month on Essentials for a single user with 500 IQ Credits. Beginner is $74.99/mo for 2 users and 1,500 credits, Pro is $149.99/mo for 4 users and 3,000 credits, Elite is $299/mo for 10 users and 5,000 credits, and Max is $699/mo for unlimited users, 8,000 credits and a Dedicated Account Manager. Annual billing gives you 12 months for the price of 10. Every plan includes a 14-day free trial, and a credit or debit card is required to start.

Everything in the QuoteIQ September 2026 Update is included on existing plans at no additional cost — the rebuilt calendar, Google Calendar sync, InstaQuote, paged estimate and invoice lists and the rest are not add-ons and there is no upgrade fee. The rebuilt Google Calendar sync and in-calendar route optimization run on IQ Credits included with your plan. Full pricing is published without a sales call, and side-by-side breakdowns are on the comparison hub including Jobber and Housecall Pro. Verify any competitor rates directly on their own pricing pages — Jobber and Housecall Pro both publish theirs — since they change without notice.

About this release

In the QuoteIQ September 2026 Update the calendar was rebuilt around Day, Week and Month views with drag-to-reschedule and a live travel ribbon between stops. Google Calendar sync was rebuilt from scratch, InstaQuote got a brand-new customer-facing form, and estimate and invoice lists now load in pages with search that runs on the server.

The QuoteIQ September 2026 Update covers everything shipped between 18 August and 10 September 2026 across ten app builds. Nine significant changes, plus improvements and fixes across fifteen areas of the app you already use. Every item below is tagged New, Rebuilt, Improved, Fixed or Early access, so nothing here is dressed up as a launch that isn’t one.

The theme this cycle is the working day. The calendar is where a service business decides who goes where, and it was rebuilt from the layout up. Google Calendar sync was rebuilt alongside it, route optimization moved into the calendar so the drive between jobs is visible while you plan them, and the estimate and invoice lists that every office opens fifty times a day now load in pages. Whether you run a roofing company, an HVAC business, a pest control route, a landscaping crew or any of the 50+ trades QuoteIQ supports, that is the part of the app you live in.

Everything here is included on your current plan at no additional cost. Three capabilities are live for early testing on the web app but not yet in the mobile builds — those are listed honestly in their own section rather than mixed in with what you can use today. The August 2026 Update promised the rebuilt CSV import with the next app release; it is in this one. Previous releases are archived on the QuoteIQ updates page.
