Quick Answer

QuoteIQ’s February 2026 release (Build 801 / version 2026.02.05) put AI on every plan. The headline feature is AI Autopilot — a conversational layer that now carries 55 integrated tools across 13 categories and can build estimates, schedule work, and message customers from a single chat or voice command. Alongside it shipped the Virtual Call Team for 24/7 AI phone answering, Route Density for zone-based self-scheduling, a commission-tracking Sales Team Tracker, mass invoicing, and a platform-wide visual refresh. Every AI feature runs on IQ Credits included with all five plans, which start at $29.99/month and top out at $699/month for unlimited users.

TL;DR: This release is the moment QuoteIQ stopped bolting AI on as an add-on and made it part of every subscription. AI Autopilot runs the CRM by conversation, the Virtual Call Team answers and qualifies inbound calls, the AI Estimator turns property photos into priced line items, and Before & After AI renders the finished job before you start it. Operationally, Route Density and Route Optimization cut drive time 15–30%, Sales Tracker puts commissions on a dashboard, and mass invoicing clears a whole day of completed work at once. Field trades are a fast-growing employment category with real margin pressure, and the operational load of growth is exactly what this release targets.

25 Minutes, Every Screen, Narrated by a Co-Founder

Rather than a changelog, QuoteIQ shipped this release with a full screen-by-screen video. Co-Founder Justin Rogers builds a live estimate through AI Autopilot, checks a weather forecast mid-conversation, schedules the job, and sends the confirmation text without touching a menu. If you only have time for one thing on this page, it is the walkthrough.

The Headline Change

AI Landed on Every QuoteIQ Plan — Not as an Add-On

Before this release, artificial intelligence inside contractor software followed a predictable pattern: it lived behind the top tier, or it was sold as a separate monthly package on top of the subscription you already paid for. The February 2026 update ended that at QuoteIQ. Every subscription level — from Essentials at $29.99/month through Max at $699/month — now includes the AI suite, metered by a pool of IQ Credits that refreshes with each billing cycle.

That distinction matters more than it sounds. A one-truck pressure washing operation and a twelve-crew landscaping company both get the same AI tools; what differs is how many credits they burn through in a month. A solo operator writing eight estimates a week is not going to exhaust an Essentials allocation. A shop running outbound AI call campaigns will. The pricing follows usage rather than gating capability, which is the opposite of how most of the category is structured.

The subscription page was rebuilt in the same release for transparency. Every feature inside every tier is listed explicitly, a question-mark icon next to each one explains what it does, and a compare view puts two plans side by side. If you have ever tried to work out what a competitor’s “Growth” tier actually contains versus their “Pro” tier, you will appreciate why that was worth building.

Conversational Control

AI Autopilot

Run the CRM by typing or speaking. 55 integrated tools across 13 categories cover estimating, invoicing, scheduling, messaging, and reporting.

Phone Coverage

Virtual Call Team

AI answers inbound calls 24/7, qualifies the lead, filters spam, records and transcribes, and sends you a summary. Outbound campaigns too.

Photo to Quote

AI Estimator

Feed it property photos. It asks clarifying questions, then returns market-accurate line items priced for your local area.

Visual Selling

Before & After AI

Generates a realistic “after” image from the actual photo of the property in roughly 15–20 seconds. Attach it to any estimate type or invoice.

Writing

AI Text Generator

One tap turns a rough note into a professional customer message. Works inside ClientHub and text fields across the app.

In-Document

AI CoPilot

Lives inside estimate and invoice creation: add services, set discounts, change tax, draft the client message, add deposits — without leaving the document.

AI Autopilot: Running the Business by Conversation

AI Autopilot is the centerpiece, and the easiest way to understand it is to watch what it replaces. In the walkthrough, Justin types a single sentence — create an estimate for a customer, a house wash at $200 and a driveway cleaning at $150 — and Autopilot pulls the contact record, builds the line items, applies tax, totals it, and offers to send it by email or text. No navigation. No form.

It does not stop at the document. He then asks Autopilot to check tomorrow’s weather in Baton Rouge by toggling the globe icon that grants it internet access, confirms there is no rain, schedules the job for Sunday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and instructs it to send the customer a confirmation text. Estimate creation, weather check, calendar entry, and customer notification — one conversation, one screen.

Autopilot now carries 55 integrated tools spread across 13 categories. In practice that means it can do essentially anything you would do by hand: create and send estimates, generate and send invoices, add contacts, book jobs, run follow-ups, summarize dashboard performance, score the health of the business, and surface where you are losing money. Two commands worth trying on your first day: “Move all of today’s jobs to Friday and text every customer” and “Invoice all of today’s completed jobs and send them.”

From the walkthrough

“If I wasn’t recording this video, I would click into here, click the microphone, and just speak directly into it. It’s my favorite way of doing it. I talk right directly into the software and it does everything for me.” — Justin Rogers, Co-Founder

One naming note that trips people up: inside the app the interface is labeled Ask AI. That is the same feature as AI Autopilot — interface name versus brand name, one product. If a help article says one and the app says the other, they are not two different things.

Autopilot vs. Estimator vs. CoPilot — Three Tools, Three Jobs

The AI suite is easy to blur together, and blurring it leads to people using the wrong tool and concluding the AI is weak. The clean distinction:

  • AI Autopilot is the general manager. It has context on the whole business and can take action anywhere in the CRM. Use it for multi-step work that crosses screens.
  • AI Estimator is the photo-to-quote specialist. It analyzes property photos, asks targeted follow-up questions, and produces market-accurate line-item pricing for your area. It runs once per new estimate.
  • AI CoPilot is the in-document editor. It lives inside estimate and invoice creation as quick-action cards plus free-form chat, with Auto Accept or Review modes. It is for editing the document in front of you, not for running the business.

Two more that shipped alongside: Before & After AI, which renders a realistic finished-job preview from the real property photo in about 15–20 seconds and attaches to any of the four estimate types, and Auto Complete, which offers AI suggestions inline as you type in fields across the app. Regenerating a Before & After image costs credits again, so pick your shot before you render.

Virtual Call Team: The Phone Stops Being a Bottleneck

For most home service businesses the single biggest leak is not pricing or marketing — it is the phone ringing while both hands are on a wand, a ladder, or a service valve. The Virtual Call Team is QuoteIQ’s answer: an AI phone team that answers inbound calls 24/7, qualifies leads, filters spam, works from a knowledge base you customize, and uses a voice and personality you configure.

Every call is recorded and transcribed, and you get a summary and notification afterward. It also runs outbound: automated and simultaneous call campaigns for promotions or reactivation lists. The important boundary — and this is where a lot of write-ups get it wrong — is that the Virtual Call Team answers, qualifies, and summarizes. It is a front desk, not a closer.

Pricing is metered rather than flat: 125 IQ Credits buys one minute. That means the practical amount of AI call answering you get is set by your plan’s credit allocation, and lower tiers are minute-limited by that math. If phone coverage is the reason you are buying, budget credits accordingly or plan on a higher tier. If you run outbound campaigns, note that AI-voiced telemarketing sits squarely inside FTC telemarketing rules and the FCC’s position that AI-generated voices count as “artificial” under the TCPA — consent and do-not-call obligations apply to you, not to the software.

Credit math worth memorizing

125 IQ Credits = 1 minute of Virtual Call Team. A 3,000-credit Pro allocation is roughly 24 minutes of AI phone time if you spent every credit on calls and nothing else — which you will not, because proposals cost 100 IQC per send and AI AutoMeasure costs 100 IQC per run. Credit budgeting is a real planning exercise, not a footnote.

How AI Usage Is Metered

The IQ Credits System, Explained Plainly

Every AI feature in QuoteIQ draws from a single pool called IQ Credits (IQC). Each plan includes a monthly allocation that resets at the start of the billing cycle, and your balance appears on every AI screen in the app so you are never guessing. Since April 2026 the app also previews the credit cost of an action and asks you to confirm before it runs — no surprise draws.

PlanMonthlyAnnualUsersIQ Credits / mo
Essentials$29.99$299.991500
Beginner$74.99$749.9921,500
Pro ★$149.99$1,499.9943,000
Elite$299$2,990105,000
Max$699$6,990Unlimited8,000

Annual billing gives you two months free — you pay for ten and get twelve. Upgrading mid-cycle charges the prorated difference, your credits jump immediately, and annual rates adjust proportionally. There are no contracts on any tier.

What actually consumes credits is worth knowing before you plan a month. Sending a Proposal costs 100 IQC (free on trial, Elite, and Max). ClientHub messaging runs 4 IQC per SMS, 5–10 per MMS, and 5–7 per minute of calling. AI AutoMeasure costs 100 IQC per run and a property or parcel lookup costs 50. Virtual Call Team is 125 IQC per minute. AI text generation is cheap — a typical team spends somewhere in the low hundreds of credits a month on it.

If your team needs more than the plan provides, you can move up a tier or buy top-up packs outright. Two things to be clear about, because they are contractual: IQ Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable once purchased or consumed. They are a usage meter, not a wallet. The core CRM never requires them — you can run estimates, invoicing, scheduling, and payments without touching an AI feature at all.

Why flat pricing matters here

Per-seat pricing is the default in field service software, which means growth is taxed. QuoteIQ’s ladder charges by tier: 1 seat on Essentials, 2 on Beginner, 4 on Pro, 10 on Elite, and unlimited on Max. Adding your fifth technician on Elite costs nothing extra. That is the single biggest structural difference between this pricing model and most of the category — and it is why hiring seasons don’t produce surprise invoices. You can model the difference with the home service business calculators or the ServiceTitan pricing calculator.

Field Operations

Scheduling, Routing, and the End of Windshield Time

Calendar Preview Inside the Estimate Screen

Scheduling a job from an estimate on the web used to mean a bare date-and-time picker with no visibility into what was already booked. The update put a live calendar preview beside the scheduling form. You can see existing appointments, check who is available, and pick a slot that actually works — without abandoning the estimate you are mid-way through writing.

It is a small change with an outsized effect on double-booking, which is the most expensive scheduling error a service business makes. A missed appointment costs you the job and the review; a double-booked one costs you both jobs and the review.

Redesigned InstaSchedule

InstaSchedule — 24/7 customer self-booking against your real, live-synced calendar availability — was completely rebuilt in this release. Customers see your branding, a clean calendar of open dates, and time slots that reflect genuine availability rather than a wishlist. It is reachable from all four estimate types and from InstaQuote forms, and it sits on the Elite tier and above.

Self-booking removes the phone-tag loop that kills conversion on warm leads. A customer who has just approved an estimate at 9 p.m. can put themselves on your calendar at 9:01 instead of waiting for you to call back at 7 a.m. — by which time two competitors have also quoted.

Route Density: Zone-Based Control Over Self-Scheduling

Self-booking creates a new problem the moment it solves the old one. If a customer across town can book any open slot, you end up with a Tuesday that runs from one end of the metro to the other. Route Density is the fix, and it is one of the genuinely new features in this release.

You draw service zones on a map and assign each zone specific operating days. Boca Raton gets Mondays and Tuesdays; West Palm Beach gets Sundays and Thursdays; a third zone gets Tuesdays and Saturdays. When a customer inside a zone opens InstaSchedule, they only see the days your team is already working their area. The scheduling conflict never gets created in the first place.

The mental model that keeps Density and Optimization straight: Route Density answers where; Route Optimization answers in what order. Density decides which zone owns which day. Optimization sequences the stops inside that day for minimum drive time, accounts for appointment windows and job duration, recalculates when a late add-on lands, hands off to GPS navigation, and is crew-aware. QuoteIQ’s figure for Optimization is a 15–30% reduction in drive time. Both features sit at Elite and above.

Drive time is not a soft cost. Fuel, vehicle wear, and paid hours between stops are all deductible operating expenses you are already tracking for the IRS — which means you already have the data to price what a 20% reduction is worth to your particular route. For most multi-truck operations it is the largest single controllable line item after labor.

Route Optimization by Employee and Crew

Optimization previously ran against every job on the board for a given day. The update added filtering, so you can isolate one employee’s stops or one crew’s schedule and optimize just that route. For a company running a two-truck day where one truck handles pressure washing and the other handles window cleaning, optimizing them as one pool produced nonsense. Now it doesn’t.

Callout: the compounding math

Cutting 45 minutes of daily drive time across a 5-day week returns nearly 4 hours. Across a 48-week year that is roughly 180 hours — the equivalent of adding a part-time technician without adding payroll. Route Density and Route Optimization are the two features in this release with the clearest direct return, and they cost nothing extra on Elite.

Team Performance

Sales Team Tracking Inside EmployeeHub

The Sales Team Tracker is the answer to a question every owner with more than one estimator eventually asks: who is actually producing? It reports, per team member, how many estimates they created, how many invoices they generated, their conversion percentage from estimate to paid invoice, and the total revenue they brought in.

Commission handling is built in. Set a percentage per rep and QuoteIQ calculates what each person has earned for the company, how much has already been paid out, and how much is still owed — with leaderboards and year-to-date figures. Every estimate and invoice now carries the initials of the employee who created it in the top-left corner, so attribution is visible at a glance rather than reconstructed from memory at the end of a month.

Two tier facts to get right, because they are frequently reported wrong: EmployeeHub itself is an Elite-and-above feature, and the Sales Team Tracker specifically is Max-only, alongside Crew Creation, Crew Tracking, and Crew Scheduling. If you are on Pro and reading about commission dashboards, that is the tier you are looking at.

EmployeeHub around it covers GPS location tracking — a live team map while employees are clocked in, pausing on breaks and stopping at clock-out — plus Time Tracker Pro for GPS clock in/out with per-job hours, break counts, and full edit history, and Team Communication for 1-on-1 and group chats with job assignment. Clocked-out employees never appear on any map, without exception.

Two limitations worth stating up front so nobody is surprised: there is no automatic overtime calculation, and there is no native payroll. Hours export cleanly to whatever payroll system you already run. Given that construction and extraction occupations employ roughly 6.4 million people at an annual mean wage of $65,360 as of May 2025, payroll is a domain where most owners already have a specialist tool — and QuoteIQ is deliberately feeding it rather than replacing it.

Callout: what commission visibility changes

Once conversion rate is visible per rep, coaching stops being a guess. A rep writing 40 estimates a month at a 22% close rate and a rep writing 18 at 48% are two entirely different problems — one needs pricing help, the other needs lead volume. Without per-rep tracking both look identical on a revenue report.

Self-Service Selling

InstaQuote Gets a Real Analytics Dashboard

InstaQuote lets customers price themselves. You build a service library with pricing, share the link on your site, in email, or on social, and the customer selects services, watches a live total, and submits. The quote is delivered instantly by email or SMS, and they can approve and book from it. It sits at Elite and above.

Until this release, InstaQuote submissions were mixed in with every other estimate and there was no clean way to measure whether the channel was working. The new dashboard fixes that with form view analytics, quotes sent and their average value, conversion rate from quote to paying customer, top services requested, acceptance rate tracking, a segmented view of InstaQuote submissions separate from standard estimates, and importable pre-built service templates with questions attached.

The addition contractors actually use most is the QR code generator. Download the code for your InstaQuote link and put it on truck wraps, uniforms, yard signs, door hangers, and postcards. A neighbor watching you wash a driveway can scan the tailgate and have a price for their own house before you have packed up — which is the closest thing to free lead generation in this trade. It pairs naturally with the pressure washing cost calculator and the lawn care cost calculator if you want to sanity-check the pricing you load into the service library first.

Getting Paid

Mass Invoicing and Faster End-of-Day Billing

Mass invoicing lets you select multiple completed jobs and bill all of them in one action instead of opening each job in turn. On the current build you can do this from the jobs dashboard or straight from the calendar — click a day, select the completed work, invoice everything. The calendar route was still on the roadmap when the walkthrough was recorded; it has since shipped. Mass Invoicing is available from Beginner upward.

The reason this matters is cash conversion cycle, not clicks. Invoices that go out the evening of the job get paid materially faster than invoices batched on Friday, and a service business’s working capital is almost entirely tied up in the gap between completing work and collecting for it. Everything around invoicing supports the same goal: automated payment reminders with timing you set, Net 15/30/60/90 terms, partial payments and deposits, tips at checkout, e-signatures on invoices, cards on file shown on the customer profile, and an embedded on-page checkout with no redirect.

Recurring billing runs through Invoice Subscriptions, with full discount, tax, fee, and deposit math — an accepted estimate can be converted straight into a recurring subscription. Customers pay by credit or debit card, ACH bank transfer, Apple Pay, or Google Pay online, and cash and checks are recorded manually in the app. Consumer financing through Affirm, Klarna, and Afterpay is available on every plan, including during the trial, with the contractor paid in full upfront and the provider carrying collections and default risk.

If you are still building your invoice templates, the free contractor invoice template, HVAC invoice template, and landscaping invoice template are reasonable starting points before you move the structure into QuoteIQ.

Callout: same-day invoicing

A single day of completed jobs invoiced in one action rather than one at a time is typically 15–20 minutes saved per crew per day. Over a 48-week year that is 60+ hours of administrative time — but the larger number is the cash that arrives days earlier because the invoice went out the same evening.

Interface

Screen Redesigns Across the Platform

Beyond the headline features, this release carried a substantial visual pass. Individually these are small; together they change how the app feels day to day.

New Navigation Bar

The top navigation on the web app was reorganized, with three quick-access icons in the top-right corner: a shortcut into AI Autopilot, a settings menu carrying the light/dark mode toggle and every settings page, and a notifications bell.

Redesigned Invoice Screen

Invoices moved from a list to a card layout. Each card surfaces the key figures and supports direct actions — edit, duplicate, view PDF, send a payment reminder, mark paid, or send across multiple channels — without opening the record. Filter tabs at the top separate pending, subscription, and paid invoices, each showing its total dollar value.

Redesigned Expense Screen

Expense tracking adopted the same card-and-table pattern. You can view, edit, delete, and link expenses to scheduled work from a denser, cleaner layout. Expenses feed Job Costing, where Total Price minus Labor minus Expenses gives you profit per job with a margin bar, and labor pulls automatically from time tracking.

Forms and Documentation

Inspection forms, job forms, and before-and-after photo archives render visually rather than as icon boxes, with share, duplicate, export, edit, and view available inline. These live inside QuoteIQ Cam, which handles in-app capture, annotation, custom inspection forms, unlimited 4K photo and video storage, and a documentation archive on the customer record. Cam is available from Beginner upward.

Company Profile and License Numbers

The company profile screen was refreshed and gained a license number field. Enter it once and it attaches automatically to every outgoing estimate, invoice, and form — which matters in the many jurisdictions where displaying a license number on customer-facing documents is a legal requirement rather than a nicety. Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC contractors will recognize why that field took priority.

Dashboard Date Filtering

Business analytics gained proper date filtering: this year, last year, specific years, last 30 days, last 90 days, lifetime, and fully custom ranges. Revenue by service, customer, and employee or crew; sales metrics including quotes sent, conversion rate, and average ticket; operational completion rates and durations; and customer metrics like repeat rate and lifetime value all sit behind those filters.

Estimate Cards and Line Items

Estimate creation cards were tightened visually, and line items can now carry images. Unit pricing views for square footage, flat rate, and other pricing types were polished. This sits on top of an estimate engine that already offers four document types — Standard, Quick, Options for good/better/best tiering, and Package for bundles — with draft mode and continuous autosave, sub-item hierarchies, and e-signature approval starting at Essentials.

Time Tracking Layout

The time tracking screen inside EmployeeHub was rebuilt: clock in directly from the screen, add manual entries, export CSV reports, and toggle between personal and employee time views.

Seven Months Later

What Has Shipped Since This Update Went Live

This article covers a February 2026 release, and QuoteIQ has not stood still. If you read the original walkthrough and have not opened the app since, here is what has landed on top of everything above — because several items described as “coming” in February are now simply features.

March 2026 — Client Portal

A branded self-service hub for your customers, reached by a per-customer secure link with no app download and no account creation on their end. They can view and approve estimates, view and pay invoices, check appointments, see inspections, submit service requests, get a quote, and leave a review — each of those panels toggleable globally and per customer. You can customize sidebar colors, add up to five custom menu links, and see in an Activity tab exactly when a customer viewed something. Incoming requests can be accepted, declined, or converted straight into estimates or jobs. Client Portal sits at Pro and above.

Spring and April 2026 — Estimating and Automation Depth

The estimate engine gained draft mode with continuous autosave so a dead phone no longer costs you a quote, parent-child sub-item hierarchies, a Materials section that links to inventory products, one-action “Mark Up All” pricing, the ability to hide individual or all line-item prices, and a Custom Document Label setting that renames your estimates “Estimate,” “Proposal,” or “Quote” company-wide. Email & Text Automations moved to a V2 engine with a dedicated queue pipeline, a Templates/Queue/History dashboard, queue search, and a variable picker. ClientHub added call routing and forwarding by time of day, caller, or availability — including routing to the Virtual Call Team.

June 2026 — AI-Built Automations and Estimate Templates

You can now describe an automation in plain language and have it built for you, rather than assembling triggers by hand. Estimate Templates arrived in the same window, and Mike’s pre-built follow-up sequence — first estimate through eleven-month follow-ups — imports in one click.

July 2026 — Three Genuinely New Tools

AI AutoMeasure and the Measurement Library, Ask AI Reports with the IQ Terminal for conversational reporting, and Expenses Analytics. Everything else in that release window was improvement and fixes rather than new capability.

August 2026 — Proposals, Signatures, and Shared Credits

The August release carried nine additions. Proposal+ turns an estimate into a full branded proposal with company story, services, photo gallery, documents, and customer reviews, previewable before sending and savable as a template — available on every plan at 100 IQC per send, free on trial, Elite, and Max. Electronic signatures extended: customers sign estimates and proposals online, and editing an estimate after sending automatically voids the outstanding signature request. Whop joined as a payment processor. Max plans now share one IQ Credit pool across sub-companies. Multiple contacts on a job means emails, texts, automations, and on-the-way notifications fan out to everyone attached. MapMeasure Pro gained a historical aerial imagery timeline — scroll back through years of photos of a property — plus calculated, displayed, and saved roof pitch. Employee permissions got a full overhaul with calendar permissions properly separated. And expiring documents plus reusable invoice templates arrived: estimates and invoices can expire on a date you set.

Callout: on payment processing

Whop is now the processor for all new QuoteIQ subscribers, end to end — both for paying for QuoteIQ and for your customers paying invoices. Accounts established on Stripe are legacy: they may stay on Stripe or migrate once to Whop, and that migration is one-directional. There is no free choice at signup — account vintage decides it. Consumer financing through Affirm, Klarna, and Afterpay is independent of the processor and works on both.

Applied

What This Release Actually Changes, Trade by Trade

A feature list is not an argument. Here is where the February update and everything since land differently depending on what you do for a living.

Pressure Washing and Exterior Cleaning

The combination that matters is MapMeasure Pro plus Before & After AI. Measure a driveway or a roof from satellite imagery without leaving the truck, attach the measurement screenshot as visual proof of scope, then show the homeowner a rendered image of what their concrete will look like clean. Pressure washing and soft washing are visual sales, and this is the first release where the software sells for you. Cross-check your rates against the pressure washing cost calculator before loading them into InstaQuote.

Lawn Care and Landscaping

Recurring route businesses live or die on density, which makes Route Density the single most valuable feature in this release for you. Zone-locked self-scheduling stops the one-off customer three towns over from fragmenting a Tuesday. Pair it with Invoice Subscriptions for recurring billing and the lawn care cost calculator for pricing, and irrigation add-ons stop being a spreadsheet problem.

Roofing

Roof segments auto-detect from solar data with color-coded pitch, and since August the pitch calculation is displayed and saved rather than eyeballed. Add historical aerial imagery — useful for storm-damage conversations — and roofing becomes one of the trades where measuring from the office is genuinely accurate. Options estimates for good/better/best shingle tiers do the rest of the work.

HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical

These trades are call-driven, which makes the Virtual Call Team the headline. An after-hours no-heat call that gets answered, qualified, and summarized instead of going to voicemail is a job you would otherwise have lost by morning. The license number field on outgoing documents matters here too, and consumer financing is the difference between a $9,000 system replacement approved today and one deferred to spring. Size your ticket assumptions against the HVAC cost calculator.

Painting and Remodeling

Longer sales cycles reward the Pipelines & Deals board, where stages carry close-probability percentages and weighted value equals amount times probability — realistic forecasting rather than a wish list. Elite runs up to five pipelines; Max is unlimited. Before & After AI on an interior repaint quote is a genuine closing tool, and the painting cost calculator keeps your square-foot rates honest.

Pest Control and Recurring Service

Recurring subscriptions, automated appointment reminders, on-the-way texts at Pro, and zone-based routing are the whole business model. The Client Portal reduces the inbound “when are you coming” calls that eat a service coordinator’s day. Recurring-revenue trades also see the clearest benefit from local market density data when planning which ZIP codes to defend.

Tree Care, Concrete, and Heavy Trades

Larger tickets mean Job Costing is where the money is: price minus labor minus expenses, with labor pulled automatically from time tracking. When a single job carries five figures of material, knowing margin per job rather than per month is the difference between growth and expensive growth. Start with the tree removal cost calculator and concrete cost calculator.

Migrating

Coming From Another Platform

The most common reason contractors stay on software they have outgrown is the fear of moving their data. AI Smart Import is QuoteIQ’s answer: upload a CSV exported from Jobber, Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, or any other CRM and the AI maps your columns automatically. You can also import straight from your phone contacts. A rebuilt import experience with reviewable column mapping, a preview step, and duplicate flagging is built server-side and will surface in the app in a future release — the current importer is the one described above.

On the accounting side, QuickBooks Online syncs invoices, payments, customers, and expense categories, with duplicate-sync locks and automatic customer creation before estimate sync. It is available from Pro upward, and the integration is with QuickBooks Online only — worth confirming against your own bookkeeping setup before you migrate.

If you want to compare feature-for-feature before committing, the comparison hub covers 60+ platforms side by side. Whatever you conclude, verify current pricing on each vendor’s own page the day you decide — this category restructures its plans often enough that any figure you read in a blog post, including this one, deserves a same-day check.

Everything exports, too. Customers own their data, export is available on every plan, and QuoteIQ never stores card numbers — those sit with the processor. That is worth confirming with any vendor you evaluate, and it is the kind of operational due diligence the SBA’s guidance on growing a business treats as table stakes.

Getting Started

How to Set Up QuoteIQ’s AI Features in Four Steps

If you are new to the platform or you have been on it since before this release and never turned the AI on, this is the shortest path from signup to a working setup.

Step 1 · About 10 minutes

Start the trial and pick the tier you will actually run

Create an account and choose the plan that matches your seat count and feature needs — the trial gives you the features of the plan you select, so choosing Essentials and expecting Route Optimization will not work. If routing, InstaQuote, or EmployeeHub are why you are here, start on Elite.

Step 2 · About 30 minutes

Import your customers and build the price book

Export a CSV from your current CRM and run AI Smart Import, or pull contacts from your phone. Then load your services with pricing — this is the foundation everything else reads from, including AI Estimator and InstaQuote. Sanity-check your rates against the business calculators first.

Step 3 · About 20 minutes

Turn on AI Autopilot and write one real estimate with it

Open AI Autopilot — labeled Ask AI in the app — and dictate an actual estimate for a real customer rather than a test record. Send it. The point is to learn where the AI needs more context from your price book, and you only find that on live work.

Step 4 · About 45 minutes

Configure phone coverage and routing

Set up the Virtual Call Team knowledge base with your service area, hours, and pricing guardrails, and choose the agent voice. Then draw your Route Density zones and assign operating days before you publish an InstaSchedule link — zones first, link second, or you will spend a week untangling bookings.

Callout: budget the credits before you scale usage

Work out your monthly credit burn before you commit a tier. At 125 IQC per Virtual Call Team minute, 100 IQC per proposal send, 100 IQC per AI AutoMeasure run, and 50 IQC per property lookup, a busy Pro account can spend 3,000 credits quickly. Every action previews its cost and asks you to confirm before it runs, so nothing draws silently — but the planning is still yours to do.

Who Built This

Expert Authority

QuoteIQ was founded on September 21, 2022 in Savannah, Georgia by two people who ran home service businesses before they wrote software for them. That origin is the reason the roadmap reads the way it does — features like Route Density and the license-number field come from operators, not product managers.

Reviews From the App Stores

QuoteIQ holds a 4.7 rating across 4,103 reviews. Three verified five-star reviews, unedited:

★★★★★

First of all this app saves me so much time, the new updates they do are impactful. I’ve used it for pressure washing, I’ve used it for even doing concrete estimating. The ability to send invoices directly and charge from the app is a win win! I like how it incorporates the ability to keep your customers like a CRM program and it helps me check up on those customers that called, I can call back pretty fast make a note on their file. I also like how everyone can access it from my Crew. App is #1

We are in the pressure washing business and have used several different quoting systems that all required multiple programs to do the quoting, follow up, and billing. We are now changing to Quote IQ because it has everything in one app. It also makes it easier to complete quotes on the phone or even in person. We are an expanding company and it is making it easier for us to have everybody on the same system.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is QuoteIQ AI Autopilot and how many tools does it have?⌄

AI Autopilot is QuoteIQ’s conversational control layer for the entire CRM, and it currently carries 55 integrated tools across 13 categories. You type or speak a command and it acts: create an estimate, send an invoice, book a job, text a customer, summarize dashboard performance, score the health of the business, or flag where you are losing time. A globe toggle grants it internet access, so it can check a weather forecast before you schedule outdoor work, then schedule it. Inside the app the interface is labeled Ask AI — that is the same feature under its interface name rather than its brand name. It is included on all five plans and metered by IQ Credits rather than sold separately, so an Essentials subscriber and a Max subscriber get the same tool with different usage allowances. Autopilot is distinct from the AI Estimator, which turns property photos into priced line items, and from AI CoPilot, which edits the document you already have open. Full detail sits on the AI Autopilot feature page, and the underlying trade context — a fast-growing field workforce under real administrative load — explains why conversational control matters more here than in most software categories. See the full feature library for how it connects to everything else.

How much does QuoteIQ cost in 2026?⌄

QuoteIQ runs five plans. Essentials is $29.99/month for 1 user with 500 IQ Credits. Beginner is $74.99/month for 2 users with 1,500 credits. Pro is $149.99/month for 4 users with 3,000 credits and is the recommended tier for most growing companies. Elite is $299/month for 10 users with 5,000 credits. Max is $699/month for unlimited users with 8,000 credits shared across sub-companies. Annual billing gives you two months free — pay for ten, get twelve — so the annual figures are $299.99, $749.99, $1,499.99, $2,990, and $6,990 respectively. There are no contracts on any tier, and upgrading mid-cycle charges only the prorated difference while your credit allocation jumps immediately. Every plan includes the full AI suite; the tier changes seat count, feature gates, and credit allowance rather than whether AI exists. Because seats are bundled into the tier rather than billed per user, adding your fifth technician on Elite costs nothing extra — worth modeling against your actual headcount using the business calculators, alongside your deductible software and operating expenses.

What are IQ Credits and how do they work in QuoteIQ?⌄

IQ Credits (IQC) are the usage meter for every AI feature in QuoteIQ. Each plan includes a monthly allocation that resets with your billing cycle: 500 on Essentials, 1,500 on Beginner, 3,000 on Pro, 5,000 on Elite, and 8,000 on Max, where the pool is shared across sub-companies. Known costs include 125 IQC per Virtual Call Team minute, 100 IQC to send a Proposal (free on trial, Elite, and Max), 100 IQC per AI AutoMeasure run, 50 IQC per property or parcel lookup, and 4 IQC per SMS in ClientHub. Since April 2026 every AI action previews its credit cost and asks you to confirm before it runs, so nothing draws silently. If you need more than your plan provides you can upgrade a tier or buy top-up packs. Three legal points matter: credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are non-refundable once purchased or consumed. They are a meter, not a wallet — and the core CRM never requires them, so estimating, invoicing, and scheduling all work without touching AI. Budgeting credits is ordinary operating-cost planning of the kind the SBA treats as core to managing growth.

What is the QuoteIQ Virtual Call Team and what can it do?⌄

The Virtual Call Team is an AI phone team that covers your inbound line 24/7. It answers, qualifies the lead, filters spam, works from a knowledge base you write, and speaks in a voice and personality you configure. Every call is recorded and transcribed, and you receive a summary and a notification afterward. It also runs outbound — automated and simultaneous call campaigns for promotions or reactivation lists. The boundary to understand is that it answers, qualifies, and summarizes; it is a front desk rather than a closer. Pricing is metered at 125 IQ Credits per minute, which means the amount of AI phone coverage you effectively get is set by your plan’s credit allocation — lower tiers are minute-limited by that arithmetic, so if phone answering is your reason for buying, size the tier accordingly. It routes cleanly with ClientHub call forwarding and pairs well with InstaSchedule so a qualified caller can be booked without a callback. If you run outbound campaigns, the compliance obligation is yours: consult the FTC’s Telemarketing Sales Rule guidance before you launch one. See pricing and the feature library for tier detail.

What is Route Density in QuoteIQ and which plan includes it?⌄

Route Density lets you draw service zones on a map and assign each zone specific operating days, so customers using InstaSchedule only see the days your team already works their area. It prevents the cross-town scheduling conflict that self-booking otherwise creates, and it is available on Elite and above. The clean way to hold it in your head: Route Density answers where, and Route Optimization answers in what order. Density decides which zone owns Tuesday; Optimization sequences the stops inside Tuesday for minimum drive time, accounts for appointment windows and job duration, recalculates when a late job is added, hands off to GPS navigation, and is crew-aware. QuoteIQ’s figure for Optimization is a 15–30% reduction in drive time. Since the February 2026 release you can also filter optimization by a specific employee or crew instead of running it across every job on the board. For recurring route businesses like lawn care and pest control, density is the more valuable of the two. Drive time is a genuine, trackable operating cost, not a soft one.

Does QuoteIQ have a free trial in 2026?⌄

Yes. Every plan includes a 14-day free trial, and the trial grants full access to the features of the plan you choose — so if you want to evaluate Route Density, InstaQuote, or EmployeeHub, start the trial on Elite rather than a lower tier and expecting them to appear. A credit or debit card is required to start. One free trial is available per person, per business, and per payment method. The trial auto-converts to paid at the rate of the plan you selected unless you cancel before it expires, and you can cancel at any point during the trial. Proposal sends, which normally cost 100 IQ Credits each, are free during the trial. If you would rather see the platform demonstrated before committing, the team runs live walkthrough calls where they map your workflow onto the software and help you identify the right tier — you can book one through the pricing page or the demo link on this page. Choosing the right tier before you start is worth ten minutes of thought; the SBA’s guidance on scaling operations is a reasonable frame for that decision.

How does the QuoteIQ Sales Team Tracker work?⌄

The Sales Team Tracker lives inside EmployeeHub and reports per team member: estimates created, invoices generated, conversion percentage from estimate to paid invoice, and total revenue produced, with leaderboards and year-to-date figures. You set a commission percentage per rep and QuoteIQ calculates what each person has earned, what has been paid out, and what is still owed. Every estimate and invoice carries the creating employee’s initials in the top-left corner, so attribution is visible rather than reconstructed. The tier detail matters: EmployeeHub is available from Elite upward, but the Sales Team Tracker specifically is a Max-only feature, along with Crew Creation, Crew Tracking, and Crew Scheduling. Two limitations to plan around: there is no automatic overtime calculation and no native payroll — hours export to whatever payroll system you already run. Commission visibility is what turns a revenue report into a coaching tool, since a high-volume low-close rep and a low-volume high-close rep look identical on revenue alone, and it pairs naturally with business analytics for the company-level view. Wage benchmarks from the BLS Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics program are a useful sanity check when you set commission rates.

Is the QuoteIQ 2026 update free for existing subscribers?⌄

Yes. Every QuoteIQ software update is included in your subscription at no additional cost, and that applies to the February 2026 release and to everything that has shipped since. There is no upgrade fee, no version charge, and no separate AI package on any tier — AI Autopilot, the Virtual Call Team, the interface redesigns, and the routing tools all arrived automatically for active subscribers. What varies by tier is which gated features you can reach and how many IQ Credits you have to spend, not whether you receive updates. Since February the platform has also added the Client Portal, AI-built automations, Estimate Templates, AI AutoMeasure and the Measurement Library, Ask AI Reports, Expenses Analytics, Proposal+, expanded electronic signatures, historical aerial imagery with saved roof pitch inside MapMeasure Pro, shared credits on Max, and an employee permissions overhaul — all included, with the current tier boundaries listed on the pricing page. Software that improves without a repurchase cycle is one of the quieter advantages of subscription tooling for small operators, a category the Census Bureau’s County Business Patterns data shows is overwhelmingly made up of very small establishments.
