Built for the solo operator or two-person crew ready to quote from satellite, document jobs with photos, track expenses, and use AI to write estimates, without paying for team features yet.
QuoteIQ Beginner costs $74.99 per month ($749.99 per year) and includes 2 user seats and 1,500 IQ Credits every month. It is the second tier in the QuoteIQ ladder, built for solo contractors and two-person crews. On top of everything in Essentials, Beginner adds MapMeasure Pro satellite measurement, QuoteIQ Cam photo and video documentation, Property Street View, Zillow Quick Access, Expense Tracking, Contract Attachments, Mass Invoicing, Advanced Analytics and Custom Branding. The 14-day free trial gives you full access to the features of the plan you choose.
TL;DR: QuoteIQ Beginner is the $74.99/month plan ($749.99/year) for solo contractors and two-person crews, with 2 user seats and 1,500 IQ Credits. It adds MapMeasure Pro, QuoteIQ Cam, Property Street View, Expense Tracking and Advanced Analytics to Essentials, and its credits power AI Autopilot and the AI Estimator. One skipped site visit saves about $15.20 at the IRS 76-cent business mileage rate, a real saving for a business among the 36.2 million the SBA counts. The step up from Essentials is $45 a month. When you add a third person, or need ClientHub calling, Automations or QuickBooks Online, move to Pro at $149.99.
Every figure below comes from the QuoteIQ plan ladder, the IRS or the SBA Office of Advocacy. Nothing here is an estimate of your own results.
is the step from Essentials ($29.99) to Beginner ($74.99), or $540 a year. That $45 buys MapMeasure Pro, QuoteIQ Cam, Expense Tracking and Advanced Analytics, plus a second user seat and three times the IQ Credits.
is how long the Virtual Call Team would run if you spent all 1,500 Beginner credits on it, because it uses 125 IQ Credits per minute. Minutes are limited at this tier by the credit allowance itself.
Everything from Essentials, plus the field-tools toolkit that turns QuoteIQ into a complete remote-quoting platform. Browse the full feature library for details on each tool.
The additions that separate Beginner from Essentials.
Satellite measurement inside estimate creation: square footage, linear feet and roof dimensions, saved to the customer profile and attachable to the estimate as a screenshot.
Photo and video capture organized by job and date, before and after comparisons, annotations, inspection reports, job reports and unlimited 4K cloud storage.
Look at the property from street level while you build the estimate.
See Zillow property insight directly inside QuoteIQ while you build the estimate.
Categorized expenses with receipts, job linking, search, filters and CSV export.
Revenue, sales, operations and customer dashboards: conversion rate, average ticket, completion rate and customer lifetime value.
Attach documents, licenses, insurance certificates and contract PDFs to your estimates.
Invoice multiple completed jobs at once from the jobs dashboard or the calendar.
Your logo, colors and contact details on every estimate, invoice and customer message.
The same AI suite is on every plan; Beginner gives you three times the credits of Essentials to use it. Every AI action shows its credit cost before it runs.
The general manager: control the CRM by voice or text across 55 integrated tools in 13 categories, for example moving today’s jobs to Friday and texting every customer.
The photo-to-quote specialist: analyzes property photos, asks targeted follow-up questions and generates line-item pricing for your local market.
Generate a realistic “after” preview from the real photo in roughly 15 to 20 seconds and attach it to an estimate.
One-tap professional messages and service descriptions inside text fields.
An AI phone team that answers 24/7, qualifies leads, filters spam and records and transcribes every call, at 125 IQ Credits per minute.
Everything below is already on Essentials and carries straight over.
Four estimate types for every job, from a fast quick quote to good-better-best tiers.
One-tap conversion from estimate to invoice, plus recurring invoice subscriptions and tips.
Drag-and-drop day, week and month views with color-coded status.
Customers pay online by card, ACH bank transfer, Apple Pay or Google Pay; cash and check are recorded in the app.
Affirm, Klarna and Afterpay on every QuoteIQ plan.
Customers sign estimates on their phone.
iOS, Android and web with full feature parity.
Every QuoteIQ plan includes the AI suite, and Beginner’s 1,500 monthly IQ Credits are what make daily use realistic. The tools are easy to confuse, so here is what each one does and when you would reach for it.
AI Autopilot is the general manager. You talk or type to the CRM and it acts across 55 integrated tools in 13 categories. Typical commands are moving all of today’s jobs to Friday and texting every customer, or invoicing every completed job from today and sending the invoices. Inside the app it appears as Ask AI; Ask AI and AI Autopilot are the same feature under two names. It is the tool you use to run the business, not to build a single quote.
The AI Estimator is the photo-to-quote specialist. You add property photos, it asks targeted follow-up questions and then generates line-item pricing for your local market. You use it once per new estimate, and the result lands in an editable standard estimate so you stay in control of every price. Pair it with MapMeasure Pro measurements and the quantities are real instead of guessed.
Before & After AI is the closing tool. From the actual customer photo it generates a realistic “after” preview in about 15 to 20 seconds, which you can attach to any estimate type or invoice. Regenerating an image costs credits again, so settle the prompt before you iterate. If you want side-by-side real photos of finished work, the Before & After Photo Editor inside QuoteIQ Cam handles that. The AI Text Generator sits alongside them for one-tap professional messages.
All four estimate types are on every plan, including Beginner. Choosing the right one is mostly about how much the customer needs to decide.
| Estimate type | Best for | Why it helps |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Itemized jobs with several services | Line items, photos, notes and terms on one document |
| Quick | Fast, simple jobs you can price in a minute | Speed when the customer is waiting |
| Options | Good, better and best upsell tiers | Lets customers pick a level instead of deciding yes or no |
| Package | Bundled services sold together | One price for a repeatable bundle |
Across all four you can add photos, notes, terms and conditions and your license number to the PDF, require a deposit, apply markups and discounts, and watch the total update in real time. Drafts autosave, so a dead phone does not cost you the quote. Send by text, email, PDF or link, track whether the customer viewed it, and collect a signature with e-signatures. Estimates and invoices can carry an expiry date, and an accepted estimate converts to an invoice in one tap or to a recurring invoice subscription for maintenance customers.
Two Beginner tools make estimates more persuasive: MapMeasure Pro screenshots attach to the estimate as visual proof of the measured scope, and QuoteIQ Cam photos show the customer exactly what you saw. Contract Attachments lets you attach your own contract PDF when a job needs one.
This is how a solo operator or two-person crew moves one job through QuoteIQ, using only tools that are included on Beginner.
1. Capture the lead. Add the customer to the client database. If you are switching, estimates and contacts come across with exports from your old system and the AI import tools, which map CSV columns automatically. A job, estimate or invoice can carry more than one contact, so a spouse or property manager receives the same messages.
2. Measure without driving. Open MapMeasure Pro inside the estimate, trace the area, check the street-level view with Property Street View and look up the home on Zillow Quick Access. The numbers are saved to the customer record for repeat work.
3. Build and send the quote. Use a standard or options estimate, let the AI Estimator draft line items from photos, add a Before & After AI preview, and send it by text or email. The customer signs on their phone.
4. Schedule and do the work. Drop the job on the calendar, which supports day, week and month views, multi-day jobs and a Schedule Later option for jobs with no date yet. Document the work with QuoteIQ Cam, including inspection forms and before and after photos.
5. Invoice and get paid. Convert the estimate to an invoice in one tap. Customers pay online by card, ACH, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and you can offer Consumer Financing on larger tickets, add tips at checkout, record cash and check in the app, and use automated payment reminders. Mass Invoicing handles a day’s worth of completed jobs at once.
6. Close the books. Log receipts in Expense Tracking and let Advanced Analytics show revenue by service, customer and employee, plus your quote conversion rate and average ticket.
Getting paid quickly is where small contractors lose the most time, so Beginner keeps every payment path inside one invoice. The same payment tools are on every plan; they are not a reason to upgrade.
Payment methods. Customers can pay online by card, ACH bank transfer, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and the checkout is embedded on the invoice page so they are not redirected away. Cash and check are recorded by hand in the app. See online payments for the full flow, and tips for adding a gratuity at checkout.
Deposits and terms. Require a deposit on the estimate, accept partial payments on the invoice, set Net 15, 30, 60 or 90 terms, and let automated reminders chase late payers on a schedule you control. For maintenance customers, invoice subscriptions bill on a repeat schedule with discount, tax, fee and deposit math handled for you.
Financing for bigger tickets. Consumer Financing gives customers a pay-over-time option through Affirm, Klarna or Afterpay at checkout, while you are paid in full upfront. It is most useful on jobs large enough that customers hesitate, which is where an options estimate already steers them toward the better tier. The CFPB has published a report tracking how the BNPL market grew between 2019 and 2023.
is the maximum Affirm will finance per job through QuoteIQ Consumer Financing, with terms from 3 to 36 months. Afterpay typically caps near $4,000 on Pay-in-4.
Essentials is the right start for a one-person shop. Beginner earns its price the first time you quote a property you never visited. Here is the line-by-line difference between Essentials and Beginner.

Beginner sits between Essentials (core CRM) and Pro (team coordination and automation). Compare on the main pricing page.
Beginner pays off fastest where the quote depends on measuring a property and proving the condition before and after the work. These trade pages show how QuoteIQ is set up for each one, and the free calculators help you sanity-check your pricing. More calculators live in the home service business calculators hub and the business calculators feature.
Measure driveways, patios and siding square footage from satellite, then attach before and after photos to the invoice. Price it with the free pressure washing cost calculator.
Quote roofs and house exteriors from the office, and document the starting condition with QuoteIQ Cam.
Use satellite roof measurements and pitch instead of climbing for a bid.
Trace lawn areas on the map to get square footage, then save the measurement to the customer for recurring visits. Price it with the free lawn care cost calculator.
Measure beds and turf areas and show the customer an AI preview of the finished yard.
Collect exterior measurements remotely and record surface conditions with dated photos. Price it with the free painting cost calculator.
Draw the fence line on the map for linear feet before you price posts and panels. Price it with the free fence cost calculator.
Measure the existing footprint from above and attach reference photos to the estimate. Price it with the free deck cost calculator.
Quote by roofline from satellite and log the before and after for every house. Price it with the free gutter cleaning cost calculator.
Get roof dimensions from aerial imagery and keep inspection photos and reports on the job.
Measure slabs and driveways remotely and keep pour-day photos in the job record. Price it with the free concrete cost calculator.
Document hazard trees with photos and price removals against a consistent method. Price it with the free tree removal cost calculator.
Working in another trade? The full industries directory covers window cleaning (window cleaning software), house cleaning, handyman and 50+ more, and the same Beginner tools apply.
These are illustrations built from published prices. Replace the assumptions with your own job counts and drive distances.
| Scenario | Calculation | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 10 remote quotes a month, 20-mile round trip each | 10 × 20 miles × $0.76 | $152.00 of vehicle cost avoided |
| Annual instead of monthly billing | ($74.99 × 12) − $749.99 | $149.89 saved per year |
| Step up from Essentials | $74.99 − $29.99 | $45.00 a month, $540 a year |
| Step up from Beginner to Pro | $149.99 − $74.99 | $75.00 a month, $900 a year |
| Credit headroom | 1,500 ÷ 500 credits | 3× the Essentials allowance |
The second lever is record keeping. The IRS accepts any recordkeeping system that clearly shows income and expenses (IRS recordkeeping guidance), and Expense Tracking with receipts and job linking, plus Export Data on every plan, gives you a clean trail. Advanced Analytics then shows which services earn the most per job so your standard estimates and options estimates can be priced with evidence.
Beginner is deliberately light on team features. If you need any of the following, you are looking at Pro ($149.99) or higher:
| You need… | It starts at | Plan price |
|---|---|---|
| ClientHub business number with two-way calling and texting | Pro | $149.99/mo |
| Email and Text Automations, On-The-Way texts | Pro | $149.99/mo |
| Job Costing and the QuickBooks Online integration | Pro | $149.99/mo |
| Client Portal for customer self-service | Pro | $149.99/mo |
| InstaQuote and InstaSchedule customer self-booking | Elite | $299/mo |
| Unlimited user seats | Max | $699/mo |
A practical rule: upgrade when a missing feature costs you more than the plan gap. Between Beginner and Pro that gap is $75 a month; between Pro and Elite it is $149.01; and Max removes the seat cap entirely. You can also review the roles and permissions that control what each seat can see in Roles and Permissions.
The 14-day trial covers the first half of this plan, so you can judge the tools on real jobs before the first payment.
Days 1 to 3: set up. Add your logo and colors with Custom Branding, build your services in the price book, and import your customer list. If your prices feel uncertain, check them against the home service business calculators and the business calculators built into the app.
Days 4 to 10: quote remotely. Price your next five leads from your desk with MapMeasure Pro, Street View and the AI Estimator. Note how many of those quotes you would have driven to before. Multiply by your real round-trip miles and the IRS rate on the mileage page.
Days 11 to 20: document and invoice. Use QuoteIQ Cam on every job, send invoices from the app and turn on financing for your largest tickets. Try an inspection form from Inspection Forms where a job needs a formal record.
Days 21 to 30: review. Open Advanced Analytics to see quote conversion and average ticket, log receipts in Expense Tracking, and check how many IQ Credits you actually used. If credits run short or you added a third person, compare Pro; if you barely touched the field tools, Essentials may be enough.
Beginner runs on iOS, Android and the web with full feature parity, so you can quote from the truck and finish invoices at your desk. See mobile and web access for supported browsers. Your two seats have separate logins, and roles and permissions control what each person can see and do.
Your customer data belongs to you. Export Data is available on every plan, QuoteIQ never stores card numbers (the payment provider holds them), and the client database keeps contact details, job history, measurements and photos together. Customers can also book from Google Search and Maps through Google Reserve booking.
Branding carries through everything customers see: estimates, invoices and messages use your logo, colors and contact details. For a trade business that competes on trust, that consistency matters as much as the price. If you later add a website, QuoteIQ offers an AI Website Builder as an add-on, but it is not needed to use any Beginner feature.
Jobber is a well-known field service tool, and its plans, seat counts and trial terms change often enough that any number printed here would go stale. Read Jobber‘s own pricing page on the day you decide, then use the same five questions on every vendor. Our comparison hub lists how QuoteIQ stacks up against dozens of tools in detail.
| Question to ask any vendor | QuoteIQ Beginner answer |
|---|---|
| Are the field tools inside the plan price? | MapMeasure Pro, QuoteIQ Cam, Expense Tracking and Advanced Analytics are all included at $74.99/mo. |
| How many users are included? | 2 seats on Beginner; 4 on Pro, 10 on Elite, unlimited on Max. |
| How is AI metered? | 1,500 IQ Credits a month, with the credit cost shown before each action runs. |
| How does customer financing work? | Affirm, Klarna and Afterpay are available on every plan. |
| What does the trial include? | 14 days with full access to the features of the plan you choose. |
Straight answers on price, features, credits, financing and the trial.
QuoteIQ Beginner costs $74.99 per month, or $749.99 per year when billed annually. The annual price works out to about $62.50 a month and saves $149.89 compared with twelve monthly payments. Both include 2 user seats and 1,500 IQ Credits that reset every billing cycle.
Beginner sits second in the ladder: Essentials is $29.99 a month (1 user, 500 credits), Pro is $149.99 (4 users, 3,000 credits), Elite is $299 (10 users, 5,000 credits) and Max is $699 (unlimited users, 8,000 credits). The price covers estimates, invoicing, scheduling and Consumer Financing along with the Beginner field tools. Optional extras, such as buying more IQ Credits, are separate.
Budgeting context: the SBA Office of Advocacy counts 36.2 million small businesses in the United States, and most watch recurring software costs closely. Every QuoteIQ plan includes a 14-day free trial, so you can test the plan before paying.
QuoteIQ Beginner includes everything in Essentials plus nine additions: MapMeasure Pro satellite measurement inside estimate creation, Property Street View, Zillow Quick Access, QuoteIQ Cam photo and video documentation with inspection and job reports, Expense Tracking, Contract Attachments, Mass Invoicing, Advanced Analytics and Custom Branding.
The Essentials base carries over: four estimate types (standard, quick, options and package), invoicing with recurring invoices, scheduling, customer payments by card, ACH, Apple Pay and Google Pay, e-signatures, Consumer Financing and mobile and web apps. You also get 1,500 IQ Credits a month for AI Autopilot (55 tools across 13 categories), the AI Estimator, Before & After AI and text tools.
Not included at this tier: ClientHub, Email and Text Automations, Job Costing and QuickBooks Online, which start at Pro. For the recordkeeping side, the IRS says any system that clearly shows income and expenses is acceptable, which is the job Expense Tracking does.
Pro costs $149.99 a month against $74.99 for Beginner, a $75 gap, and it raises seats from 2 to 4 and IQ Credits from 1,500 to 3,000. Pro adds ClientHub (a dedicated business number with two-way calling and texting), Email and Text Automations, On-The-Way texts, Website Contact Forms, Client Portal, Job Costing, the Hourly Rate Calculator and the QuickBooks Online integration.
Stay on Beginner when you are a solo operator or a two-person crew, you can handle customer texts from your own phone and you follow up on quotes by hand. Move to Pro when you add a third or fourth person, when customer messages get buried in personal texts, when follow-ups slip, or when you need profit per job (Job Costing is price minus labor minus expenses).
A simple test: if Pro saves roughly two hours a week, the $75 pays for itself. The BLS reports a median wage of $59,620 for installation, maintenance and repair work, about $28.66 an hour on a 2,080-hour year. Compare plans on the pricing page and see the Pro plan page; mid-cycle upgrades are prorated.
Beginner includes 1,500 IQ Credits per month, three times the 500 on Essentials, and they reset every billing cycle. IQ Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable and non-refundable, and expire without value if the account is cancelled, so treat them as a monthly allowance rather than money.
Every AI action shows its credit cost before it runs and asks you to confirm, so there are no surprise draws. Known costs include 125 credits per minute for the Virtual Call Team (1,500 credits equals 12 minutes if you spent them all there), 100 for AI AutoMeasure and 50 for a property or parcel lookup. AI Autopilot, the AI Estimator, Before & After AI and the AI Text Generator also draw credits per use, and text generation is low-cost, roughly 100 to 300 a month for a typical team.
If you need more, optional credit purchases exist and the core CRM never requires them; if you consistently need more, Pro carries 3,000. The Census Bureau tracks millions of businesses with no paid employees, and for that group 1,500 credits is ample for daily estimating.
MapMeasure Pro lets you measure a property from satellite imagery inside estimate creation, so you can price a job without driving out first. Search the address, use the drawing tools to trace lawns, driveways, decks, fences, roofs or complex shapes, and the square footage or linear feet flows into your line items. Measurements are saved to the customer profile, and a screenshot can attach to the estimate as visual proof of the measured scope.
Roof segments are detected from solar data with color-coded pitch, and a historical aerial timeline lets you scroll back through years of photos of the same property. MapMeasure Pro starts at Beginner; Essentials does not include it. It pairs with Property Street View, Zillow Quick Access and the AI Estimator, and your finished numbers go straight into standard estimates.
Each remote quote avoids a site visit. At the IRS business mileage rate of 76 cents per mile for July to December 2026, a 20-mile round trip is about $15.20 in vehicle cost before you count the hour. Follow up on site with QuoteIQ Cam when a job needs photos.
Yes. Consumer Financing is available on every QuoteIQ plan, including Beginner. Customers can choose Affirm (up to $30,000 per job with 3 to 36 month terms), Klarna (Pay-in-4, Pay-in-30 or longer terms) or Afterpay (Pay-in-4, typically up to about $4,000).
The customer applies at checkout in roughly 30 seconds and gets an instant decision. The contractor is paid in full upfront and the provider owns collections and default risk. Financing works independently of the payment processor, so it is available on newer and legacy accounts alike. Provider fees are set by the providers and are not QuoteIQ rates, so review each provider’s terms.
Financing pairs well with Options estimates (good, better, best), invoicing, online payments, e-signatures and Before & After AI previews of the finished job. The CFPB reports that the buy-now-pay-later market kept expanding from 2019 to 2023.
Yes. Beginner includes 2 user seats for $74.99 a month, so an owner and one helper or partner can each have a login to the same customer database, with full iOS, Android and web access (mobile and web access). It suits two-person crews because the field tools are included: MapMeasure Pro for remote quoting, QuoteIQ Cam for shared job photos and inspection reports, Expense Tracking for receipts and Advanced Analytics for revenue and conversion.
What Beginner does not do is team coordination. ClientHub calling and texting, automated follow-ups, the Client Portal and Job Costing start at Pro, and assigning individual people to jobs in the scheduler is a Pro capability, so a two-person crew on Beginner works from one shared schedule.
The third person is the trigger to move up: Pro adds 4 seats at $149.99, Elite gives 10 seats at $299 and Max offers unlimited users at $699. The BLS projects installation, maintenance and repair employment to grow faster than average from 2025 to 2035, so hiring is a question of when.
Yes. Every QuoteIQ plan includes a 14-day free trial with full access to the features of the plan you choose, one trial per person, business and payment method, a credit or debit card is required to start. Choose Beginner at signup and you can use MapMeasure Pro, QuoteIQ Cam, Expense Tracking, Advanced Analytics and the 1,500 monthly IQ Credits during the trial.
The trial converts to a paid plan at the selected rate ($74.99 monthly or $749.99 annually) unless you cancel before it ends, and you can cancel any time during the trial. If Beginner is more than you need, start on Essentials at $29.99 instead and upgrade later; upgrades mid-cycle are prorated and credits increase immediately.
Your data stays yours: customers own their data, and Export Data is available on every plan. The IRS advises keeping business records as long as they may be needed to prove income or deductions, so export your records before you change or cancel a plan.
Four steps from signup to your first satellite-measured estimate.
Open the signup page, create your account and pick the Beginner plan. The 14-day trial gives you full access to Beginner features.
Add your services, descriptions and prices. The AI Text Generator drafts service descriptions in seconds, and business calculators help check pricing.
Set up how you get paid in Settings, turn on Consumer Financing for big-ticket jobs and build your schedule for both users.
Use MapMeasure Pro to measure from satellite, add photos with QuoteIQ Cam, build the estimate and send it by text or email.
